Rainy day today, so a bit of sofa chill time.

Watched the first half an hour of it, and just didn't really get into it so switched off. This is maybe the third time I've done it. It always seems to top most peoples best films ever list, but I just don't see it.

Its it massively over rated tripe?

I thought there had to be a positive outcome for something to be classed as a comedy.

I agree the Sopranos isn't a comedy, but I don't think a positive outcome is a prerequisite for a comedy. In fact I'd say if anything the opposite is true for sitcoms. The fact that there's a lack of resolution and the fact the characters are trapped in the same unhappy situation drives things like Steptoe and Son, Porridge etc.

I agree they are hard going I preferred the book

Goodfellas is much better my favourite film

The Sopranos is brilliant The Wire is simply the best tv series ever Sopranos coming a very close second

Seinfeld which nearly always tops the best sitcom ever (which is is) there is nothing really positive about it

but it is the work of a genius
