We rewound 3 times and put the subtitles on in the finish!

Does anyone else have a "quizzy" brain so you do well at UC, OC, MM etc but when the person you are watching with gets one...one question right they act like brain of Britain despite the fact that you have just answered loads?!

I'm slowly fighting my way out of 'chemo brain fog', I'm really happy when I can actually answer a question on UC, OC (or even Pointless, ffs) before the person on screen, without flapping my hands and saying, 'Oh you know, that one that was in thingammy, I can see his face but I can't remember his name'.

Whereas I have to cheer loudly and congratulate DP if he gets even one non-football question right

I wouldnt mind if they at least posted the Pointless answers to the final round on the web so you can check later, but when you make a guess they dont mention then how on earth are you supposed to know if you had a pointless one or not?! Boils my piss to surface of the Sun levels :o

As for "oh he was in that thing...with...oh you know...whatsername....they stole a car and robbed a bank....no it was a boat and they stole some diamonds....." followed up with "Yes! Thats it, Pride and Prejudice!" and I dont even have Chemo Brain Fog to excuse it, I think I am just a bit stupid!

H's thing is films so he will snap out the answer to the one film Q on UC and then guess "America" to a policticky Q and look all smug. Did he know that answers to the music, literature, history, geography or art questions I answered? No he fucking didnt, but he is the hero of the hour. Glad to know that someone else feels the pain!

MrsMorton, after a bit of childish sniggering DH said exactly the same thing - sphincters are important, he's glad there's someone out there studying how to preserve them

It was definitely sphincter preservation, I replayed that bit to check!
It's a shame that team lost as they were all women. It's really boring that most of the University Challenge teams are male dominated. Sometimes I think they should introduce a rule saying that there must be two members of each sex in every team (except for single sex institutions).
