Renting a room atm, the landlady rents main house herself from an agency & sub lets to me.

There were problems from the start, no washing facilities as machine broken, en-suite toilet broken, window can't be closed properly as is also broken.

Wasn't told about these until i put deposit down & got keys.

Two days after moving in, roadworks were put in place which mean the road my room which backs on to said road is being used as a local rat run.

It's constantly loud & busy now, short break between 3.30 & 5.30am then back to living on the M25 (effectively)

I hate it, can't sleep properly, relax etc, also, requests for updates on when the broken items will be fixed have been met with agression & a row basically as if i'm really cheeky for asking (well, ll kept telling me these items are in process of being done but then nothing happens)

Anyway, cut a long story short, i've found a much nicer place & will be movig out next friday.

Full month's rent is due today but can only give her one more weeks rent & will tell her to keep two weeks deposit she has already, effectively making it three weeks notice.

I know she will go mad as her rent is due on Monday, got to go tell her i'm going in a minute.....bricking it.

So, am i being totally unreasonable (no written agreement or anything & can't remember if notice period was verbally agreed) stupid i know, was very stressful time for me then)

I wonder if she realises she's gone too far with the bitch from hell attitude and is trying to balance it with random sweetness. If she's the underhand bully she sounds like, she'll value someone as easy to push around as you, and in her stupidity hasnt realised she's burnt her bridges where that's concerned!

Horrid woman. Keep her vaguely sweet and make a plan to flit when she's out. And move on to a happier life not looking back :)

Loathe people who believe the rules don't apply to them and are constantly wheeler dealering to fuck everyone else over. Not a nice place to live, ugh!

:) Oh yes, happier life, nearly there, can't wait to get into my new place, paradise in every way compared to my current garden hovel.

LL is nice now & felt a bit bad for being such a bitch about her earlier but then got to thinking that it doesn't erase the fact she's spent a month being thoroughly unpleasant, rude & making me feel uncomfortable.

Have spent the last two years house sharing & lodging, think i'll spend next weekend just hugging MY Fridge, MY Cooker, MY Washing Machine, MY Toilet (in full working order!)

Mine, ALL mine :)

Will update on my adventures - thanks again to everyone for helping me through this hurdle.
