I find it very insulting that management give their leftovers to other people, only after a long meeting and thw food is all looking a bit tired.

This isn't a nice thing for them to do right?

I'd be horrified if the food was just binned instead.

I too called 'bollocks' an hour or two ago, but couldn't be arsed to report as it's not a particularly offensive thread; in fact it's quite amusing.

The other one (about a child having died and the grandmother kicking off) that MrsDV started a thread about was appalling, and rightly deserved to be reported and zapped asap as it was triggering for so many.

Actually (sorry to be pedantic Mary) but I don't think its a new way of dealing with trolling on here. I've seen Mumsnet leave this sort of thread up before. Quite extraordinary!

The OP always finds something to complain about. It must be tiring being so bitter and resentful. I'm beginning to feel rather sorry for her.

How do people tell that a poster has previously been banned? Who decides that the intention is to troll? (Genuine questions - I am a relatively new poster.) FWIW, I agree with the sentiment in the OP.

MNHQ have final say catfordbetty. they respond to reports and check things out.

This one is easy to spot. Some of them are.

Having said that I still think the best way of dealing with them is to report and leave MNHQ to deal with them.

There are often little signs, words used, subject matter chosen, tend to be in AIBU too.

None of those answers leave me any the wiser.

In our office, someone always sends an email around to let people know when there is food for the taking in the break room. It never lasts long.

After you have been here a while you'll see catfordbetty. When I first joined I had no idea people would post things on MN that weren't true, or to wind people up.

This happens where I work too. It's about not wasting food and it saves some other people from having to buy lunch.

I am nearly 4 years in and just getting the hang of it.

Some people aren't bothered by trolls or PBP and think reporting is terrible as well.

I'm so glad not everywhere wastes food! Was at a catered event couple weeks ago, was masses of food left, and they just tipped it all into one big bin, mixed up, so totally wasted, yet could've fed a few dozen more people, volunteering with a soup run and homeless charities, I find it especially upsetting and anger inducing!
