You can't believe in a justice system if both sides don't have access to good quality lawyers. Otherwise the whole thing is a farce, a showpiece with no legitamacy.
Oh no, I'm wrong and (some) PP are right.... Let's just decide who the bad guys are from media reports & lock 'em up without a trial. Why test the evidence in a court of law or according to due legal process? What a stupid old-fashioned notion. Formal legal process is a waste of time and it takes too long when we can easily decide definitive guilt from rumours & newspapers.
(insert ironic smiley here since I'm in the process of explaining the bleeding obvious).
