Where's the thread about the 3yo kid of separated parents joining in the adult-only holiday?

But that's the thing. The OP didn't actually put jn that much effort, she only made a handful of posts. The other 900+ were "over invested" mners.

Maybe that's the perfect troll though. Light the touch paper...

Queuing too. As someone said, if she was a troll, she was good - nothing too over the top and it was, frankly, believable. No mansions, ponies, stepchildren, benefit fraudsters or goats. Just a kind of run-of-the-mill situation.

Im thinking trolle now as I noticed another thread was deleted with their username. Confused

The story was basically.
3 couples planned to go on a adults only holiday. Children were to stay home being looked after by relatives. 1 couple split up and the father wanted to bring his 3yo child instead now. He also made a comment that the 2 women from the other couples could stay in and babysit for the night so the lads could go out. The OP was unhappy as she didnt want a child on an adult only holiday that she rarely gets as it would totally change the dynamics of the getaway.

I completely got the arse that MNHQ suspended the thread before the OP had a chance to come back and update!
And still hasn't resolved it in any way.

It is in my TIO list. Annoys me every day.

If it's a troll, I want to know. If it's not a troll, I want to know what happened in the phone convo.

And yes, perhaps I am overinvested. But I don't care. :P

Teatowel now that you have posted that synopsis - the slightly dodgy/possible trollish part was the "you women can babysit" line - that was pretty much guaranteed to make the MN collective blood boil and elicit maximum responses .....

Well, if it was a troll, I was taken in for once. It seemed very unsensationalist for a troll, it was the other posters who were creating drama. Also the username really was similar to a longstanding one... Maybe that's part of the deception . If it's a troll, they're getting clever! I'm waiting for the MNHQ verdict.

As for the 'women can babysit' comment - I know many male friends who would say that, only half-jokingly, and plenty of former bosses who wouldn't be joking at all. Low-level misogyny is very common, sadly.

The subject matter was very untrollish if it was from a Bridge Dweller. There wasn't a hint of poo, yoni massage or the unexpected deaths of multiple family pets to explain long breaks in OP posts.

I had a disappointment like that when I was a child and read "Dead souls" by Gogol. Anyway, it ends very strangely, so I was expecting to read second book. So 10 yo me is searching for a book for 5 years until finally someone had decency to tell me that there's no second book because Gogol burnt it. I'm still secretly hoping that they will find a second book in historical documents or something. The guy has been dead for 197 years... Sad

Part of me thinks troll part doesn't, little bits of it didn't quite ring true I kept thinking what mother is going to let her ex take their young child on a week long adult only holiday abroad. It does seem though an incredibly boring topic to troll about should I admit to keeping another tab open with it on so I can easily check for updates
