To refuse to let DH have the car when he said he'd walk?

So I've booked my car in for a full service and MOT next week as DH said I could use his car as he wanted to walk to work next week.
Yesterday however he twisted his ankle chasing an old woman out of the garden and now wants to use his car. His work is a 15 minute walk away. Mine would take me an hour on bus and I dread to think how long it would take to walk it. AIBU to tell him we arranged for me to have the car and we're sticking to it?

I keep coming back and reading through this.
I can't stop laughing, sorry OP. Smile

Test how badly he is really hurt by getting a old lady to walk past the house with a large dog. Is he able to run into the garden? Then make him walk to work.

Please note the old lady mentioned in Rainuntilseptember15's test must be thrusting at windows. The dog does not necessarily need to be (but it would be a bonus)

I too would like to know about the dancing dog poo lady! Hope dh foot is ok soon.

Too funny, sweary elderly thruster doing the timwarp against the window while dh slides about on the poo. T rexing and zombie -ing. I have forgotten what the aibu is, something about driving.

BigChocFrenzy · 31/08/2015 21:14

I don't believe your DH slipped on his own:
I'm sure the sweary old lady was Korean and did some Kung Fu thrusting - he won't admit an old lady beat him up Grin

This isn't Frank Spence. Betty would let him have the car. It's Victor Meldrew, and Margaret's going to make him bloody well walk!

Toooldtobearsed · 01/09/2015 17:40

Classics please MNHQ!

I am just imagining a Mrs.Brown type frantically thrusting....

PegsPigs · 01/09/2015 19:19

Entirely his own hilarious fault OP. But you can't really expect him to walk? Can't you book it in for another day/week?
