They are very smelly and I don't know why I do so much, I also burp excessively but this is easy to control and also don't smell.

I don't drink gassy drinks and have a normal diet. Have see gp who wasn't interested - can anyone help?

Yes RedLocks and then DH says loudly "did you just fart?!" Then when I say "no its my IBS playing up" he'll say "yeah whatever, you farted!"

Little does he know that if I did actually fart in front of him he'd definitely know about it, because it'd be like dropping a canary into an toxic mine shaft... He wouldn't be getting out alive!!

Go low carb. It was a revelation to when I did it to lose weight - all IBS/ stinky farts vanished. I can't tolerate white processed carbs.

I was like that for years and years OP. It got steadily worse, then I eventually got acutely ill. Was diagnosed with Coeliac disease and then Crohns some months later.

Since cutting out gluten I hardly fart at all.

FODMAPs is incredibly restrictive and difficult to live with. Before trying anything so drastic (which should anyway always be done under medical supervision) you could try activated charcoal tablets. I have IBS and excess wind, and they've been incredibly effective for me at cutting down the wind, bloating and cramps.

I am banned from eating quorn and tofu since the fateful night in September 2014, otherwise known as fartgate. It was a gastrointestinal party of epic proportions, I nearly killed my DH with my atrocious fluffs (and he's quite tough!) Poor man. Just a mention of bean based veggie products is enough to turn him green at the memory. Turns out, quorn doesn't agree with me.
