To think that people go luxury shopping every weekend?

I'm just watching Anne robin sons spending programme and there's a family who go shopping every weekend as their hobby, buying £150 hand bags.

I don't enjoy shopping so do it as little as possible, I can't afford to and it gives me a headache. But we are on the same income as the family on this programme.

Aibu to wonder if shopping is a big hobby for a lot of people on here? Do you like to shop for
Luxuries? How much a week do you spend?

I'm thinking bags, clothes, electronics, jewellery etc....

I loathe clothes shopping and much prefer sticking a load of online stuff on my credit card, keeping what I need and returning the rest and paying off the remaining balance with cash immediately.

I don't really buy anything I don't need but perhaps once a month will go to Boots, Lush or a department store to buy something for my skin and a bit of make up.

Although I do buy several books a week new and second hand in an actual shop and books for my child too. And I like to get a toy for my child every few months or as well but that's normally from saved spends from relatives.

I enjoy occasional shopping, mostly on my own as I zoom round, try a few bits on, buy or not. Browsing for hours is not me.

But the thing is that compared to other countries imo, we are really badly dressed, awful shapeless manmade fibre crap, non matching shoes. I don't have flair or style but I feel quite well dressed mostly compared to others. So what's the point of all that shopping, maybe just the satisfaction of getting a 'bargain'?
