Just sat there on her high chair, acting like queen bee and stroking her nails.

Seams like a horid woman. Someone here must of worked with her. Is she?

I stroke my nails - it helps me think. and pick them too, at least she doesn't do that

It seems clear to me that the production team pick some clueless people for the entertainment of the viewing public.

The tuck tuk pitch to the Dragons went on for ninety minutes for example. No wonder the Dragons get passed off, we only see a very small piece. I can understand why the Dragons get upset when people do not know their figures, I mean that's the whole point really.

She's actually really nice!

I wrote to her asking advice and received a lovely letter back.

I haven't watched Dragon's Den in years but quite liked her when I did.

She came across well on Bake off extra slice this week.

She's lovely, I've met her on quite a few occasions. She's witty, amusing and full of carisma.

So glad she's nice. She's always struck me as down to earth and honest. She lives not far from me and has invested in local business that would otherwise have gone under and has made it successful.

I imagine they've been told to amp it up for better viewing, and they will also edit tightly to make it more dramatic. So the odd eyeroll will be used out of context, and so on. They have to make it as gripping as they can, after all. And I also think we notice women being hard-nosed more than men, because we expect women to be likeable. We're socialised to be so. When someone doesn't conform to that, it stands out, I suspect.

Do think some people have given the OP rather more of a hammering than really seemed necessary, though. I mean, it's just a dispute over reality tv.

She reminds me very much of an old teacher of mine and from what others are saying it all fits in. V kind, generous, etc but strict and no nonsense and can be terrifying. She used to reduce people to tears and then bustle off to make them a cup of tea. Confused

I like her. I don't think she comes across as a bitch she just won't accept any nonsense, and wants a good return if she's going to invest.
I Don't think it matters whether she were gifted the family business initially or helped, she has clearly worked hard to make a sucess out of it to be where she is now.
I also love peter jones Grin

Why do we expect people to be so one dimensional?

People are sometimes happy and easygoing, but they can also be irritated either rationally or irrationally. That doesn't mean that they are wholey bad people or good people. Just people

The Dragons are paid to express an opinion and to invest money. That is based on a very short impression of a person. We at home may agree or disagree with opinion. We also will get that judgement it wrong or right.

People who have worked together successfully in the past will always be more keen to do so again.

FWIW I'm not so keen on the two new male dragon who seem to be engaged in trying to assert authority and ego. But I always think it is hard when you are a new dragon starting out, the companies pitching tend to want someone known to them.

YABVVU See is an amazing, funny, go-getting FEMALE role model.

Why do you to put her down?

I reckon she's the sort of person who you'd want if you were stuck on a desert island. She'd have a boat built and be home in time for tea, no messing!

She was on Extra Slice this week and as lovely as she was on Strictly. I've seen a programme about her businesses and she would be the Dragon I'd go for.

I like her, she has a dog like mine and supports charities for the breed.
