Deborah Meaden seems very unpleasant

Just sat there on her high chair, acting like queen bee and stroking her nails.

Seams like a horid woman. Someone here must of worked with her. Is she?

I've met Deborah Meaden, friends have worked with her.
She's certainly no nonsense but she's lovely.

So,
if a successful man is ruthless in his business dealings then that's OK - he's seen as ambitious, but if a successful woman is forthright and takes a 'no-nonsense' approach to business - she is deemed a 'nasty piece of work' Sad and a bitch.

I thought we had evolved from this outdated, sexist view of women.

I like her & dragons den. She seems quite sensible on it.

She has annoyed me a little this series with her constantly wanting to pair up with peter. It always seems to be peter.

I also quite like the 3 new dragons.

I've noticed a change in her this season for sure. She doesn't seem to like the newbies very much and never wants to invest with them, which is fine of course its her money... But it feels a bit awkward to watch the way she does it.

And the Peter thing is starting to annoy me too. And the thinking shes queen bee.

Still likeher though, shes just different.

I like her, I think she's a very successful, interesting person and I'd love to meet her. Although I also like Peter Jones and no one else seems to so I could just be a rubbish judge of character Grin

I liked her up until this series... Op I thought she seemed a bit 'queen bee' like in the last couple of episodes. Also quite patronising and belittling. She may of course be lovely in RL and I hope she's just putting on an act. For some reason.

It has nothing to do with gender. I used to think Duncan Bannatyne came across as an arsehole.

I like her far better than the other dragons - she comes across as razor-sharp and no-nonsense but fair.
She does seem a little disparaging to the newer dragons and has her obvious favourites though, previously Theo and now Peter. I liked seeing her berate that useless Piers in the last series - he was rubbish.

A close family member had business dealings with her in her advisor as a dragon. She was a superb advisor and when things went wrong she was scrupulously fair and honourable. (She hadn't invested in family member - we knew the business.) I can see why she's done well by the way she acted with us.

OP - just in case you think all she does is runs a campsite, here is a list of just a little that she is involved in this have a read.

I think she is lovely and I'd like to meet her and talk about my batshit crazy business idea

She's the spitting image of the year six teacher at my daughter's school. I had an obstetric consultant who was the image of Peter Jones too. Found it hard to take his medical advice seriously Grin

Rous - I know she has "invested" in many things now, seeing as that show has been around for at least a decade of course she has.

Was just saying she's hardly self made, she was gifted a successful business.

Anyway this isn't a sexist thing, she never used to be this nasty. But all of a sudden has.

All the dragons apart from the new woman and the card guy seem like dicks. You've spend 10 years on your buisness and 200k, I want 40% for 20k and I won't accept a single percentage less.

I do know someone that was on this series, no idea why he went on there he has a very successful buisness and is not short of cash.
