To be honest, i do agree with part of what is said about new users. There is sometimes a bit of a vibe of "sigh. She's new. She doesn't understand the rules". Which, in my experience can put you right off. It's like a telling off for something you had no idea about. If a newbie starts a thread that's been done to death, just ignore it, don't scold them.

The rest of it though, it's a bit batshit. I'm waiting on baited breath for it all to hit the papers

HQ can delete personal attacks if they're reported, that's a given fact.

Sarcastic and snippy replies to perceived new users are mean but hardly grounds for Olivia/Rowan/Iona/Becca to step in to administer a telling off.

There will always be some forum users who are dicks to newbies. That's because they are dicks, and dicks using the Internet is hardly a new phenonomen. That's not what happened to crusts/colundar.

I'm actually waiting for my comment to be deleted from the first thread. I think i might have been a bit mean. I wasn't the first to say it, but mine seemed to be the one that kicked it off.

No, i know that's not what happened to crusts, it's just one of the points she made in one of the threads that i agreed with.

I wonder who else she was? She wasn't a fan of capital letters so shouldnt be too hard to spot her.
