We have people fighting for doctors, nurses, teachers, firemen, soldiers, police officers... But no one ever seems to stand up for the hardest hit group of public sector workers. The office staff.

Is it because it's not seen as essential?

I stepped away from a administrator role 3 yrs ago as I had a opportunity to move sideways .. I was paid around £9 per hour back then with flexi time and a manageable workload .

Fast forward 3 yrs and my sideward step didn't workout so I'm back to admin . The best I could find was a full time fixed hours £6.50 per hour with a double workload as I'm deemed experienced enough to handle it .. But of course if I didn't want to work for minimum wage there were 150 other applicants for the job that would be !

I can honestly say if I didn't do my bit the place would fall apart ,I might not do the actual doings but I orgainise it so the doings can happen iyswim !

But I'm still not important enough to have a voice , I'm supposed to be greatful and Bidden Confused
