To hate it when people constantly share motivational messages on Facebook!

I know that this sounds ungrateful, but I wish that people wouldn't send these quite so often. Often, my entire newsfeed on Facebook consists of these. Delightful and inspirational though they are on most occasions, I am just sick of receiving them.

I love hearing what people have been up to on FB. However, I have to trawl through multiple inspirational messages in order to see this.

Don't get me started on Games requests! I really do not want to play Candy Crush saga or any other FB game :)

I can't unfriend the people who send these inspirational messages and games requests, as I do enjoy their other posts!

Fucking hate them. Especially when it's accompanied by someone selling some weight loss crap like juiceplus and banging on about how much "dollar" they have made or how many stone they have lost since breakfast! Worst one was last week.... On our own we are droplets, but together we are an ocean.....urgh!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 10/07/2015 14:46

I hate the "oh I'm like Marilyn Monroe, you can't handle me " crap.

Gwenci · 10/07/2015 15:12

Ugh, bloody hate these. They're just utter drivel.

One popped up on my feed today:

"Remember to value yourself:
Your important
Your special
Your worth the value YOU decide."

Yes. And I'll take on board your invaluable words of wisdom when you've figured out the fundamentals of basic grammar.

Especially for Gwenci

I hate it when people don't know the difference between "your" and "you're". There so stupid

How dare you incinerate that I don't know big words.

I hate people who say 'Age is just a number' — Age is clearly a word.

Stupid autocorrect. You always end up posting some thong you didn't Nintendo.

The amount of people who confuse "to" and "too" is amazing two me.

He texted me: "Your adorable.". I replied: "No, you're adorable." Now he thinks I like him. All I did was point out his typo!

You could completely eliminate the semicolon key and 90% of people wouldn't notice... until they needed to wink at somebody.

99% of people are stupid. Luckily, I'm part of the other 2%

Sometimes I use big words that I don’t fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

It's not difficult to tell crocodiles and alligators apart. One will see you in a while whereas the other will see you later.

220hawthorn · 10/07/2015 17:28

Life isn't about sheltering from the storm... Its about learning to dance in the rain... Vomit!

Gileswithachainsaw · 10/07/2015 17:33

They are beaten only by those who actually pain said crap on their living room walls

Sallyingforth · 10/07/2015 17:39

Forgive me for jumping straight to the end of this thread, but I just have to say that I do so love not being on Facebook !

WhatALoadOfOldBollocks · 10/07/2015 17:57

Post a load of demotivators to balance it.

"Mistakes: it could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others"Grin

P.S. to one of my FB friends...angels don't exist Hmm

Gwenci, you have cheered up my Friday afternoon!

Sidge · 10/07/2015 18:19

I can cope with the motivational ones.

What really fuck me off the are the re-posting of the "Virgin are giving away 100 free first class tickets!!!! Share to have a chance of being part of it!!!!!"

Yeah right. And Apple give away iPads and Samsung give away free TVs...

CigarsofthePharoahs · 10/07/2015 20:03

Ah, I have found my people. I love you all! Grin
Embrace your inner cynicism! Who wants to be motivated anyway?

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 10/07/2015 20:19

It's shit like this that makes me overjoyed that I don't do Facebook. Disingenuous, pointless bollocks.

whothehellknows · 10/07/2015 20:23

I opened this thread purely for the demotivational posters I knew it would contain... They make me so happy.

barbecue · 10/07/2015 20:27

Another good reason not to join FB in the first place.

AlpacaPicnic · 10/07/2015 20:30

I did smile at this recently... Not a proper de motivational poster but one that might come in handy...
