oops, in case that wasn't clear, it was my dcs that were loud and getting agitated, not JC personnel. Grin

In fact, one appointment was literally a week before school went back into session (so end of August) and when I rang, I initially asked if it would be easier for them to reschedule for after school started (as at the time both dcs were enrolled in school, although ds2 is now HE due to his needs), so that I could come to the meeting alone without the dcs, and they said no, no worries, you can bring the dcs along.

So clearly it's not a policy or anything that children can't be there. I can't be the only one that can't find any childcare, so there must be loads of other people bringing their children in.

Alice same again. I have to take DC to JC too. just to say ''yes, DC STILL has lifelong disabilities, yes Im STILL caring 24/7, no breaks, no resopite, no holidays, no tea breaks, no company car and all the other perks ''working'' people get, yes Ill ALWAYS be DCs carer, and yes I a am STILL disabled too.''

I really don't know why careres aren't seen as a proper job.

Purple Flowers same here, if it wasn't for DC id be outa here too, cant be bloody arsed with a world that doesn't give a fuck.

Becker Amazing isn't it? I'll be first to admit that while JC personnel were considerate, the first person I met with at JC asked me why I couldn't put them with a childminder or before/afterschool clubs so I could work. It was a genuine question, not snotty, so I very patiently went over the entire thing with her, pointing out each and every little complication, while the dcs are screeching, flapping, trying to touch everything nearby, shouting, and so on and she's struggling to hear me over it all. She kind of looked a little shell-shocked at the end of the meeting.

I did wonder as I was leaving if she even considered that it was maybe 45minutes to an hour with them that left her feeling that way - I have it all day every day... always.
