There's no way the UK government will go to war against ISIS after the disasters in Iraq and Afghanistan.

You have to wonder where it will all lead though. One big hurrah from ISIS might force the governments hand but it would have to be on home soil for them to react. 30 odd Brits in Tunisia isn't enough.

I fear they will simply rampage across the Middle East for a good few years yet until they burn themselves out. What are Al Quaeda up to at the moment? Burned out or biding their time?

The world is not going to become a safer place, that's for sure.

Lol downgraded, meant Libya but was getting confused with the Syria thing.

Hygge - I'm not directing anything at you (or anyone, really), I just get so cross with the lazy assumptions that it would all stop if only 'we' left them alone. (Again, not from you!).

Hygge · 05/07/2015 17:30

You're right there Vanilla, it won't ever stop.

There will always be someone, somewhere, doing things like this to someone unfortunately.

"What are Al Quaeda up to at the moment? Burned out or biding their time?"

Some of them are fighting ISIS in Yemen. And there have been three (?) prison breaks there in the last few months, putting a thousand or so back in to circulation.
