He's gone too far.

He really is a t*

OP posts:
ghostyslovesheep · 04/07/2015 17:07

if it's fuck all to do with the west why are westerners targets Confused

nothing to do with the numerous recent wars in the middle East or our sale of arms and other support of dodgy or/and oppressive regimes

RB is a tosser - I agree with the student politics reference - but that aside - he has a point

VanillaTwirl · 04/07/2015 17:17

They are targets as well as other Muslims.

ISIS is killing as many/more 'others' than they are westerners. It's just that killing westerners gets them publicity and funding, so we are higher value targets than a load of poor indigenous people elsewhere in the African/Arabic world.

VanillaTwirl · 04/07/2015 17:19

Anyway, this meme that went round about Russell Brand after the election made me lol.

To hope that someone really does buy Russell Brand his first class ticket?
AuntieStella · 04/07/2015 17:24

He's a bit of a one trick pony, isn't he?

And I don't think you can reinvent yourself as a deep thinker after Miliband pointed out (accurately IMO) that it was Emperor's New Clothes. Bit of poncy vocab doesn't cover lack of insight. And he still hasn't learned there are some things you just don't arse around with.

Mass murder being one of the.

If he's ready to 'joke' about going to Syria, then yes he should go.

Except I don't wish the sort of death that IS metes out on anyone. Even someone making a cheap point about the victims and their families.

Buxtonstill · 04/07/2015 17:32

I'll buy him a bar of soap. He needs a bloody good wash.

DJThreeDog · 04/07/2015 17:39

He is a cunt. I hate him so much.

Since when does a silence actually do anything?! It's to show respect to those that needlessly lost their lives.

There are not many people I actually hate. He's one though.

londonrach · 04/07/2015 17:40

I dont understand why anyone gives this person any time. Hopefully the ticket will be one way

LittleLionMansMummy · 04/07/2015 22:38

I think he stumbles on some good points. And then I'm reminded that he is in fact just a self-serving, publicity-seeking wank stain.

His point about UK/ US foreign policy is a reasonable one to make. But to make it on the back of a respecful moment of reflection for innocent people who ultimately were still murdered, an event marked by their relations who have suffered unimaginable loss, is pretty fucking crass even for him.

IthoughtATMwasacashpoint · 04/07/2015 22:46

Couldn't someone present him with one of those fuck off great rockets they use at displays and a lighter? Then we could all laugh as he went into orbit

firesidechat · 04/07/2015 22:51

I take it you're a fan Lashes?

I can't believe RB has the wit to pass any comment on the situation in Syria. His statements sort of prove the point for me.

RJnomore · 04/07/2015 22:58

I'll contribute to anything that gets the thick fuck to SHUT THE FUCK UP.

CatthiefKeith · 05/07/2015 00:56

ODFOD.

He is a working class boy who went to below average mainstream schools and was sexually abused and bullied for years. He was extremely lucky to have a bloody talented drama teacher, who believed in him 100%.

His mum told him he could change the world and he is trying to. What are you doing? Read the full story, instead of regurgitating The Guardian tabloid headlines.

He is often too idealistic, and simplistic, but his heart is firmly in the right place. He often goes to his old school and reads to the year 7's. Did you know that? No, because it isn't publicised. He has been known to turn up at the 80th birthday party of an old school friends Nan and charm all the old ladies.

None of us are perfect, but at least he has the balls to stand up and be counted.... Do you?

MyBeloved · 05/07/2015 01:09

He's a self obsessed nob jockey.

crustsaway · 05/07/2015 01:24

You didn't need to explain in your OP. Just a mention of his name makes me roll my eyes. In my opinion the man is clearly a mixture of both sociopath and narc rolled into one.

Waves at the twunt.

GatoradeMeBitch · 05/07/2015 02:33

I went off him when I read that after his 'revolution' every man could be lying on a yacht with horny Russian twins (or words to that effect). So women could look forward to continued objectification in his ideal society...

sashh · 05/07/2015 07:48

The only thing more annoying than Russel Brand is people making a post about him that doesn't actually say what shit he has said so if I want t o know I have to go and search, which means more people are searching the internet which means he thinks he is more important than he is.

LittleLionMansMummy · 05/07/2015 08:09

I absolutely agree Voyage.

But i think people object to his vile use of the one minute silence for the Tunisia victims in order to make his point.

DirtyBlonde · 05/07/2015 08:10

"....that doesn't actually say what shit he has said ...."

He said the situation was 'complicated'

No shit, Sherlock.

He's not a particularly illuminating or incisive commentator.

And deriding a public mark of respect isn't thought provoking. It's asinine.

Mehitabel6 · 05/07/2015 08:19

I think it best to ignore him completely - the best thing to do with anyone trying to grab attention.

TiredButFine · 05/07/2015 08:36

Crustsaway I agree, someone mentioned his difficult childhood - which would contribute to any armchair diagnosed personality disorder. All his posturing comes from his own difficulties in the world that's why he wants to change it.
A minute of silence is a mark of remembrance and respect, frankly I don't care whether I agree or not with the reasons when one is held, I just STFU for 60 seconds.
Not respecting that is IMO the start of how you get to be a twunt like the westboro baptist arseholes

thegreylady · 05/07/2015 08:37

He is just a nasty little man, distasteful, bigoted, arrogant and lacking in dignity and common sense. Since the Andrew Sachs business I refuse to watch him or read anything he writes.
He doesn't deserve a first class ticket to anywhere at all but I'd shove him on a one way economy flight.

I ignore him because I can't stand him but I also find him impossible to listen to- my brain switches off with the tedious.

Allbymyselfagain · 05/07/2015 09:03

Im sure if enough people signed a petition brize norton would do him his very own flight. After all surely the governemnt don't like him either...
