To request that my DH doesn't suck my nipples when I'm asleep

Luxme · 28/06/2015 19:16

I was just asleep in bed (hectic day with LO) and my DH woke me up by sucking my nipple. I absolutely hate this and have always done (he knows this and i wasn't able to breastfeed for very long as the sensation of anything on my nipples makes me feel disgusting) and then says 'you used to let me' (he's confusing me with his ex i think as i have never let him). then after i tell him off says 'ok ok' (he said this last time and has done it again).

Childishly i have put his toothbrush down the toilet. because without screaming at him, this is the only way i can think of getting him to realise how much i hate this as the only comparison i have is that he hates not being able to brush his teeth as that also makes him feel disgusting.

that is just gross and creepy.
Paint stop and gro on your nipples that will stop the big creepy baby.
dont bother with the hobby bobby they have minimal knowledge of the law.

SunnyBaudelaire · 29/06/2015 13:01

I personally think that a grown man wanting to suck nipples is yukky, yes

DoJo · 29/06/2015 13:03

Perhaps it's just interpretation - I read all but one post as finding his insistence on this continuing this behaviour unpleasant rather than the act itself. I think even the tamest sexual practice can induce feelings of revulsion if it is performed under those circumstances, so perhaps we're just reading them differently.

Olddear · 29/06/2015 13:03

Put mustard on them.

Denimwithdenim00 · 29/06/2015 13:05

Umm. Right. It's not often mumsnet finds me unable to comment but there you go. What's to add really.

SuperFlyHigh · 29/06/2015 13:09

Exactly what who says police involvement if you go through means end of the relationship so be prepared for that and it to end etc.

Saw this a lot working in solicitors working with family law and for much less.

Would he do relate?

SuperFlyHigh · 29/06/2015 13:11

Oh has he done anything else that you know of? The toothbrush incident on top means relations as you know are/have broken down. I'd be annoyed he ignores you or thinks so little of your opinion on this that he continues.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/06/2015 13:14

Of course it isn't yukky IF both partners enjoy it. It IS yukky if he keeps doing it when she doesn't like it and she's told him to stop.

How strange.... Shock

Sallyingforth · 29/06/2015 13:41

Personally I enjoy having mine licked. I'd be sad to lose that.

But it's a very personal thing and no always means no.

OP, I suggest that you read your opening post from a neutral viewpoint, because what you've described is dysfunctional on both your parts.

The toothbrush thing was petty, but look, you've been crystal clear about your boundaries, and he has repeatedly ignored you. I think you have to take a long, cool look at the relationship and consider whether it's one you want to continue with.

SunnyBaudelaire · 29/06/2015 14:14

" How strange...."

personally I think it is strange looking down and seeing a great big hairy head sucking away at your nipple as though you are his mother, instead of a baby's one....

a bit like 'bitty' in Little BritainGrin but hey each to their own.

The fact is that this great big creepy lump is essentially assaulting her while she is asleep.

CrystalCove · 29/06/2015 14:25

Why do you stay with someone who doesn't listen to your wishes about your own body?

JovialNickname · 29/06/2015 14:34

I don't like nipple licking either and it would creep me out to the point of revulsion if someone did that to me when I was asleep!

I suggest next time you wake him up with an unlubed, dry finger stuck suddenly up his arse, or by licking his eyeball. Then see how he likes being woken up with an unpleasant jump and the feeling of being personally invaded.

noeffingidea · 29/06/2015 15:21

A man sucking on his partners nipples is a perfectly normal form of foreplay sunny. I'm sure millions of couples do it quite happily
The only problem is that he's doing it without her consent, while she's asleep.
I'm not sure what I'd do here. I wouldn't go to the police, personally. Wear a heavy duty bra while asleep so that you wake up if he tries it?

SunnyBaudelaire · 29/06/2015 15:36

I would stick the toothbrush up his arse while he is sleeping, then say petulantly 'ooh but you always USED to let me'

Wibblypiglikesbananas · 29/06/2015 15:38

Why should she have to wear a bra? What a load of victim blaming codswallop no.

LuluJakey1 · 29/06/2015 19:06

I don't think nipple sucking is strange - I thought it was a normal very enjoyable part of sex. I love it when DH does it to me. The strange bit is the OPs husband doing it even though he knows she is upset by it. And her using his toothbrush in the toilet. That's weird. Otherwise, it's pretty run of the mill stuff I think- husband and wife in bed, foreplay.... nothing odd in it.
