And I'm supposed to be on a diet.

But it was on special offer.

And "I bought it for the kids."

Go on, shame me.

It's your body and your choice OP. Not for anyone else to shame you or judge.

As long as the kids aren't disappointed and they get their treat, I can't see why anyone would be concerned.

TheHumblePotato · 26/06/2015 14:31

Don't these sorts of threads just glorify gluttony?

SirVixofVixHall · 26/06/2015 14:32

I did this on Wednesday with Tesco finest chocolate ice-cream. There is just something about ice-cream, I can consume huge mounds of it and still want more. I ate vats of the stuff while pregnant as it was only thing that stopped the nausea!!!
On Weds I had half the tub as a pre-supper snack. Ate my supper, and then ate the rest for pud.......

ifonly4 · 26/06/2015 14:32

Don't know if I could manage to eat a whole tub of icecream, but I've been known to eat a whole package of Mr K fondant fancies more than once!

AuntyMag10 · 26/06/2015 14:33

Potato yes it seems so.

toffeeboffin · 26/06/2015 14:33

I'm the same. If food is 'free' I think it's also calorie-free.

I ate two huge muffins at work. You know, cos we had a breakfast meeting and there were there. Why?!!

Oh, and we are ordering pizza for lunch.

KayAdams · 26/06/2015 14:33

Lj8893 - I had half this morning and finished off the other half just now - I don't think I could do an entire troughing in one go!

Tiny - yoghurt??/ What good is that to anyone? Does it still taste the same?

EponasWildDaughter · 26/06/2015 14:34

CherryGarcia! Bloody hell i'd forgotten all about that.

Cant get it anymore? :( Bugger.

Had a tub of their Karamel Sutras last weekend. Was lovely. Prefer Cookie Dough.

Sigh.

KayAdams · 26/06/2015 14:35

Yayyy humblepotato That's more like it!

LegoComplex · 26/06/2015 14:35

mmmm.... must get some..

Nabootique · 26/06/2015 14:36

I really miss the Strawberry Cheesecake B&J. Can only seem to find it in cinemas now! If anyone knows of a stockist please let me know. They did a delicious apple pie one for a bit as well. Mmmmm.

FFS, a tub of ice cream now and then isn't going to kill anyone, is it? Hmm

Momagain1 · 26/06/2015 14:37

Dont worry, the fat shamers and nutrition aware are beginning to trickle in.

Wafflenose · 26/06/2015 14:38

I bought a 4 pack of Crunchies yesterday, and they have all vanished.

WyrdByrd · 26/06/2015 14:39

Thanks to Lidl I have discovered the Speculoos Core and this morning the Utter Peanut Butter Clutter one...also have salted caramel sauce in the cupboard and 5 weeks to get into my new jeans in time for my holiday...whoops!

Stanky · 26/06/2015 14:39

I keep buying it when it's on offer. Why?! I used to eat an entire tub in one go, but it would make me feel really ill for a couple of days afterwards. Now, I have to spoon out a portion into a bowl, otherwise I would eat the whole thing. It lasts 3 or 4 days.

EponasWildDaughter · 26/06/2015 14:40

I don't think the glorifying of eating ice cream is any better or worse than the glorifying of drinking that goes on on MN.

Wine o'clock. Must have some Wine etc.

But that's ok because it's 'grown up' somehow and not 'gluttonous' i suppose Hmm

DamsonInDistress · 26/06/2015 14:46

Shit happens. Move on.

I say that as someone with a history of disordered eating over the past twenty years who could sink 6,000 calories and more on a bad day, or less than 600 on a different type of bad day. Don't dwell, just try better next meal.

KayAdams · 26/06/2015 14:47

Yes, Eponas - but I really need to shift some weight. So why do I do it? Because I fool myself that it's for the kids (who are seriously well nourished yet slightly underweight) as it won't do them any harm - and then I eat it. I am an idiot.

But I did make kale crisps for lunch. With fry light. How healthy is that?

OP posts:
Fatstacks · 26/06/2015 14:52

Ah kale crisps.....

Crime against hoomanity Angry

KayAdams · 26/06/2015 15:01

Nooooo - they are nice!!!! Roast them gently with a bit of salt and they're a bit like Nori, the crunchy japanese seaweed used for sushi.

OP posts:
YaTalkinToMe · 26/06/2015 15:17

Kay
Why did you code Tesco, if they see it they might give you another pot for free advertising Grin
Which of course you would give to the kids as you ate the poor starving things other one, how selfish Wink

Hezaire · 26/06/2015 15:25

There's a new nutty core one I love. It's like Nutella in the middle. Anyone tried it? Can't remember the name but the taste is more hazelnutty than peanutty

KayAdams · 26/06/2015 15:29

I used to do a lot of work with the BBC YaTalkinToMe so old habits die hard like eating icecream

Shit. Sugar crash.

falls asleep and forgets to pick up kids from school
