To suggest all user names are restricted to 8 letters & easily abbreviated?

It's a bit annoying having to type out a really long user name - have a user name that's easy on the eye and the finger - or if you insist on going over the top, choose a name that can be easily abbreviated.

Noo, couldn't put up with Sparklin. Mine has been good enough for this long I am not changing it now.
