This pisses me off no end. The more you search for a particular flight the higher its cost goes. Even ba do this shady thing! Luckily I know that you just have to clear all your cookies and start again to get the original price. But they must trick millions out of people that don't know how to do it.

412.04 for Lanzarote for me, first time trying.

I'm a believer! Def with RA anyway, it's certainly the impression I get... Usually go search on a different pc so the incognito tip is much appreciated!

I nearly always fly with RA ( hand luggage and debit card only)
I heard of this tip last year and it has never ever made any difference if if private browsed or not.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen and flights do of course change their prices. I get an update on skyscanner for flights I'm watching. All I'm saying is IME flights haven't changed whether I've gone incognito or not and I fly about 7 times a year on holiday.

I just had a look at the BA website for flights to Jersey next May half term. £110 each way!

Sadly, also £110 each way on an incognito window as well.

Astonishingly expensive.

Same price for me, on both normal search, and incognito. The only thing it proves is that prices can vary enormously from day to day, and even from hour to hour, so when you see a price you like, just book it, and then never look again !

Still £521 here on both PC and laptop- four quotes over the day- two different ISPs.

All the prices I have put in for Finland, Norway and Ireland are still the same price today as they were a while back and on Monday when I checked both incognito and regularly.

Just a thought, could your DH be paying by credit card instead of debit, I was finding that when I tried on my phone, it was defaulting to credit card, which costs more? Although I don's suppose it's that much more.

OK still showing £521 on two different platforms and two completely different broadband lines.
