Summer is coming up, and we are waiting for the slim near perfect blogger mums telling us how they went to the beach the other day and someone laughed at their stretch marks while they were wearing their bikinis, so they were quite upset and went to have a little cry.

When my mummy friends and I go to the beach, we would be greatfull to be even able to wear a bikini...............................

Others will show us a slight tummy and go and on about it - all I can say is lucky them they remain a size 10/12, some of us carried the weight all over.

Sorry, just read another blog just now.lol

I'm sick of all blogs now. And the vlogs. Nothing to do with their bodies, I couldn't care less - just the constant product placements and "oh, look at this amazing incredibly expensive blender I recieved as a 'gift' from a 'friend'! Oh, and look at these wonderful Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks I 'bought', all ten of them. I am utterly in love and obsessed with these! (Until my next box of freebies arrives, then you'll never see them on my channel again.)"

I used to love bloggers because they were just normal women recommending things they genuinely liked. Now they are worse than the magazines. Someone will say "Look at this awesome range I went out and got!" yet you can see in your Bloglovin' feed that about half a dozen other bloggers just posted the exact same photo...

Sorry for the rant!

I think the problem isn't blogs per se, it's mummy/mommy blogs.

There are lots of other sorts of blogs. I read gardening blogs, political blogs, and blogs about horror films. No one posts photos of themselves in bikinis, or gushes about their children or their perfect life, or tries to sell me lipstick or kitchen equipment. Seriously, there is a whole world of blogging out there that is far more interesting and informative.

Read this and you'll find yourself not fretting about your body at all.

I read it that you were sick of BIGGER yummy mummies. Thought it was a bit harsh. I think I need an eye test.

SeenBeen · 05/06/2015 18:33

Huh. I read real news sites like The Guardian or The Telegraph and never see these things.

Perhaps update your bookmarks to real news?

Skipton you've hit the nail on the head! I love it! I have a bikini and a body, I am therefore 'bikini body' ready..... No diet etc required (and I am far from a size 10...

What is a rashie though

dementedma · 06/06/2015 09:46

How to get a bikini body:
Buy a bikini
Put it on your body.
Job done.

jorahmormont · 06/06/2015 09:55

I don't think this is general to all blogs, nor to all blogs written by parents.

I have a parenting blog and it certainly doesn't sponsored posts and 'ooh look at my bikini body'.

A little tip to those of you who dislike 'mommy blogs'... don't read them?

Sammasati · 06/06/2015 10:03

skipton I am with you on the anti vac crowd.

I really don't get this blogging naval gazing thing, why would anyone want to read what complete strangers wear on the beach?

Seems a bit facebookish to me [humm]
