to give my bicycle a name?

My bicycle has a name. It suits her.

I am because my sister's doesn't. Would it be terribly unreasonable to name her?

I don't give mine a name. Mainly because my mother names all of hers, and they are always stupid names that she thinks are clever.

I had to build my first bike myself, I had her sprayed pink and called her Mona. My next bike was called daisy ,and I talk to all my bikes to encourage them up hills better, and we sing very badly and loudly on the way down.
Doesn't everyone relate to their bikes like this????

I live in an area with very steep hills. Mainly I just shout "arghh arggghhh" on the way down.

I had a Betsy bike as a kid. I currently do not own a bike. I now feel like I should rectify this just so I can name it.

My mum's Roomba is called Flora.

My carbon framed road bike is called Daisy Dream. She was my dream bike that I could never afford as we were saving for our wedding but my lovely then fiancé now husband had secretly been paying it off and super surprised me for my birthday last year.

My Brompton hasn't got a name as such, I simply refer to it as the "wee bike"

I am laughing my head off at this thread! I also talk a lot to hazel going up hils. In between gasping for breath. I had to go out on my daughters mountain bike once whilst hazel was in for her service. I asked daughter "does it have a name" she said no I said "it's had several today" all unrepeatable!
