To think that Pampers are utterly shit?

I usually use Lidl disposables on DS, which are the best- no leaks and dirt cheap.
On the very rare occasion that I am caught out and have had to buy Pampers I have had to deal with wet pyjamas most mornings and even the smallest poos end up in a blow out. I seriously considered throwing his pjs away today such was the extent of the damage.
When DD was a baby I was thrilled when she was big enough to fit into her cloth nappies as it was so much easier to clean those than get the poo stains out of her clothes from the bloody useless Pampers. I didn't realise back then that it was only stupid crap Pampers that failed like this.
How can they charge so much for what are IMO the worst nappies on the market?

The shop brand ones gave my little one really bad rashes, and the aldi ones had an awful smell. Pampers in a size up from what they suggest works a treat for my small but podgy bottomed baby.

Lidl pull ups aren't so great though. I always used lidl's regular nappies and thought they were great, no leaks, no nasty rashes and very affordable. I switched to the pull ups because DD is too big for the regulars and all they seem to do is leak!! In fact every single one I put on her last week leaked and I'm not even talking about a lot of wee, or in some cases, poo.

I've switched to pampers and have had no problems touch wood

Pampers have worked out great for us. They fit my DC well and they rarely leak.

FannyPlant · 26/05/2015 14:04

I always found Pampers to be shite. We always used Huggies. I think what PP have said about it depending on your childs size are probably right.

MrsTedCrilly · 26/05/2015 14:11

I'm always trying to get one over on pampers and try a cheaper brand as the price difference is so huge.. But always go back to pampers! They don't leak or smell. I'm on a pack of tescos own at the mo and they don't mask the smell of pee!

Pampers are fine for us. No leaks, fit well and as cheap as Aldi if you get a good deal on Amazon.
DC were red raw from certain supermarket brands.

We use Pampers babydry (i think) in the night, and never have any leaks. We used a different kind of pampers in the night, and had leakage on several occasions, but the other kind (in orange pack) works wonders. Use Tesco during the day and Pampers at night now :) I don't think they are shit, but they can hold lots of shit :P eww

I've never used anything but Pampers for my 3 dc n not had a single problem. Yabu.
