Just that really. Am having small wedding, just family. Friend has few pieces that would fit in with wedding theme. We both are usually generous with each other. Would this be really cheeky?

PS they are bathroom ornaments for beach theme.

OP: AIBU?

MN: Yes.

OP: oh ok, point taken.

MN: Burn in Hell you selfish witch

AuntyMag10 · 17/05/2015 20:33

Lighthouse calm down, op has said she won't ask.
I think pp suggestion of asking where she got the ornaments from is a good idea.

LittleprincessinGOLDrocks · 17/05/2015 20:34

YABU. The Range has lots of nice beach themed ornaments, I suggest you try there.

DeidreChambersWhatACoincidence · 17/05/2015 20:35

Hang on. Bathroom ornaments? Confused

cluecu · 17/05/2015 20:37

If the wedding is strictly family then I don't understand why it's cheeky at all? Confused If I was the friend then I'd just be happy to be doing a favour. Genuinely don't understand why this is so controversial?

wannabestressfree · 17/05/2015 20:37

Jesus I think the op is getting a horrendous time here. She took the advice....., some people need to get a rather large grip.

somewheresomehow · 17/05/2015 20:39

go to the range they have lots of sea sidey stuff
she's not a close friend then i guess

icelollycraving · 17/05/2015 20:41

Lighthouse Shock there are some bloody weirdly aggressive posters lately to pretty tame aibus.
Op,you could test the water, does she know she's not invited?

Lucked · 17/05/2015 20:45

I have beachy bathroom ornaments and towels from dunelm.

paxtecum · 17/05/2015 20:45

Lighthouse, that was quite nasty and unnecessary.

paxtecum · 17/05/2015 20:46

Why are some of you so nasty and aggressive?

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 17/05/2015 20:52

OP isn't doing it anyway but table decorations often get broken or taken (well they do at weddings I go to) so I wouldn't borrow things people want back for that reason.

Gabilan · 17/05/2015 20:53

I think I'd just be puzzled as to why you wanted stuff from my bathroom at your wedding.

And then I'd say no, as I'm petty like that.

Cocolepew · 17/05/2015 20:54

Lighthouse is just worried she'd have to go as a decoration.

FrameyMcFrame · 17/05/2015 20:55

What are the ornaments?

Happybodybunny12 · 17/05/2015 20:59

Awful lot of touchy types on here.

Well op I wouldn't mind as you say no friends have been invited.

I would be happy to help and just expect a bottle in return.

What a lot of Hissy fitting drama lamas.

robinlovesfatman · 17/05/2015 21:04

They are crabs!

OP posts:
Floggingmolly · 17/05/2015 21:07

I'd be completely bemused at someone wanting my bathroom nick nacks (if I had any such things) to decorate their wedding venue. What are they, exactly?

Floggingmolly · 17/05/2015 21:08

Oh x post. Crabs??? Back to the drawing board, fgs! Crabs Hmm

robinlovesfatman · 17/05/2015 21:09

Crabs!

OP posts:
Sniv · 17/05/2015 21:45

I'm strangely pleased by the idea of someone sat on the loo at a friends house, beholding a crab shaped ornament, and thinking 'Ah, perfect! My wedding shall be complete'.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 17/05/2015 21:47

I'm loving the idea of a crabs theme but then my mind is in the gutter

Crabs is just odd. Stop that now.

TheCowThatLaughs · 17/05/2015 21:54

If you were my friend, having a small family wedding, and wanted to borrow my crabs to share in the happiest day of your life, then I would happily lend them to you. I'd expect a piece of cake though, mind!!
