Ex Lib-Dem voter and I will probably be voting Green even though they haven't a hope in hell of getting in where I live. There are no parties that represent me 100% and I feel like the Greens are offering a lot of fresh polices (as well as quite a few crazy ones) but I am ready for change.

nor do we need Outreach Workers for men who have sex with men on £40K a year

Oh god. It's all become clear. You're one of those "loony Lefties won't let me sing 'Baa baa black sheep'", aren't you?

Never was a username so ironic.

addstudentdinners2 · 06/05/2015 18:16

Oh Christ, Erudite, you really are an old school Tory homophobe aren't you?

ollieplimsoles · 06/05/2015 18:16

What about the people who prefer working on a zero hours contract? My FIL works on one for a homeless shelter, he gets paid to do duties when he is needed. I have a friend who works part time in a shop too and also holds a job with a zero hours contract in a small family run cafe- she tops up her earnings with a zero hours contract because she enjoys the flexibility for childcare reasons.
I don't think its really fair to just abolish zero hours contracts and stop people happy with them from earning money that way.

frankie80 · 06/05/2015 18:17

what time does campaigning stop at?

addstudentdinners2 · 06/05/2015 18:17

Yes but Ollie many aren't happy with them, so what do you propose to do about those people?

Erudite · 06/05/2015 18:21

Talking of social conscience, what about the Iraq war?

How do Labour voters square the waging of an illegal war and the death of thousands of civilians?

ollieplimsoles · 06/05/2015 18:22

addstudentdinners2 Ed Milliband has suggested that an employer has to offer a more permanent position after a specified amount of time (I think it was 12 weeks). But if people wanted to stay in a zero hours basis, they can chose to, they don't need to except a more permanent position.

I think that does sound like a good idea- people still have the choice. How it will work out in practice I don't know. Maybe the legislation will just make employers hire less people if they know they will have to offer something more permanent eventually.

Breezy1985 · 06/05/2015 18:25

Labour

ElectraCute · 06/05/2015 18:27

I was against the Iraq war. I agree it was an illegal war.

Ed Miliband is not Tony Blair. Miliband stopped us going into Syria and repeating the appalling fuck up that was Iraq.

As you well know, the Tories would have had no qualms whatsoever about going into Iraq.

Nice diversion though, well done. Next?

addstudentdinners2 · 06/05/2015 18:27

Erudite most labour voters were disgusted by the Iraq war. But Ed Miliband and Tony Blair are not the same person, much like David Cameron and Thatcher.

ilovesooty · 06/05/2015 18:31

I'd like a link to that outreach worker post please, Erudite

wearenotinkansas · 06/05/2015 18:35

Labour

partly because I am not an SNP support and partly because I believe Miliband is sincere in his wish to improve things for the worst off. I wish scottish labour had a more credible leadership though

Was tempted by Greens too

Erudite - I don't understand your comment about the Outreach Worker??

wearenotinkansas · 06/05/2015 18:36

And also I think any recovery in the economy is more due to the improvements in financial liquidity generally, than anything the Tories have done

YouTheCat · 06/05/2015 18:41

Cameron proposed that we went to war against Syria in 2013. He is the first PM to lose a war vote in over 100 years.

Dogmatix34 · 06/05/2015 18:43

Labour

wfrances · 06/05/2015 18:46

labour

Merguez · 06/05/2015 18:49

Green, in a fairly safe Tory seat.

I am part of the 'Green Surge' !!

MeggyMooAndTinkerToo · 06/05/2015 18:51

5 Conservative votes will be made from this house tomorrow.

AyeAmarok · 06/05/2015 18:52

Undecided, I appreciate some Tory policies and some Labour policies, so I think I am going to vote Lib Dem, and stay indecisively in the centre.

ValancyJane · 06/05/2015 18:52

Voting Green this time round, I agree with a lot of their policies - am quite pleased to see I'm not the only one!!

OH is voting Lib Dem I think.

lollyloll · 06/05/2015 18:55

Anyone vote swapping? voteswap.org/

OP posts:
Esko · 06/05/2015 18:55

I have swapped my vote with someone in another part of London. I will be voting Labour now and they will be voting Green.

shitebag · 06/05/2015 18:56

Labour.

I know sweet FA about politics and have only ever voted for the SNP before but I cannot get on board with them since they rallied in the troops and turned into the Yes party and divided the country. I know its not connected but I can't vote for them again.

JackSkellington · 06/05/2015 18:59

SNP x 2 here.
