Ex Lib-Dem voter and I will probably be voting Green even though they haven't a hope in hell of getting in where I live. There are no parties that represent me 100% and I feel like the Greens are offering a lot of fresh polices (as well as quite a few crazy ones) but I am ready for change.

I think essentially right wing politics are selfish.

And there ya go Grin

Komnu · 06/05/2015 17:46

Postal voted Green in a relatively safe Tory seat

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 06/05/2015 17:47

Lotta I don't think your reply was exactly having a rational discussion with Erudite You could just give your list of reasons (which SUCK by the way), very mature Confused

fiveacres · 06/05/2015 17:47

I didn't read what was written as nasty, especially in the context of what has been written about those of us who vote conservative, but I am sorry it upset you Flowers

I live in a very safe Tory seat and I can assure you the majority of people living here have a social conscience, however, just as on here, people feel differently about the best way to go about helping those disadvantaged in some way.

AGirlCalledBoB · 06/05/2015 17:48

Labour, I would hate for the conservatives to get in

OnlyLovers · 06/05/2015 17:48

I wasn't upset, five; I don't take stuff like that personally.

addstudentdinners2 · 06/05/2015 17:49

Erudite but they are. I don't see how that's offensive. I've not seen anything posted, either by you or anyone else, that contradicts my opinion.

MrsMarigold · 06/05/2015 17:51

Conservative - very worried about the possibility of Red Ed in Downing St - although where we live is a fairly safe Labour seat.

zfactor · 06/05/2015 17:51

Lib Dem - I would hate for either Labour or the Tories to get in, without having the just influence of the Lib Dems in coalition.

Lottapianos · 06/05/2015 17:51

I've given up on the rational discussion Thick but thanks for piling in. And they do SUCK

Withershins · 06/05/2015 17:53

I would just like the candidates to actually live in the area that they wish to represent.

TremoloGreen · 06/05/2015 17:54

Lib dem here. Would vote conservative normally but upset about what they've done to the NHS. Live in a safe seat anyway so also voting for the actual candidate I want representing me, he was previously a local councillor and very good at it. We'll end up with the same useless git we've had the last 15 years, who rarely bothers to turn up to parliament. Such is the contempt the main parties have for their loyal voters...

Erudite · 06/05/2015 17:55

I think Labour policies are selfish too. I haven;t seen anything that contradicts my opinion on that given most Labour voters benefit from public spending and a large and generous welfare state.

Human nature.

Interestingly, we are worse off under the Tories by thousands a year .How many Labour voters can say the same under a Labour Govt?

monkeysox · 06/05/2015 17:57

After what the tories have done to schools, definitely not them.

FuzzyWizard · 06/05/2015 17:59

Labour- I would personally probably be worse off in the short term but I believe they would be better for the economy long-term. I also believe strongly that I have a moral imperative to vote against the Tories in my constituency. My local MP has a really crappy voting record, especially on lgbt rights.

BunnyFint · 06/05/2015 18:00

Two Labour votes here.

Seeingthebeautyineveryminute · 06/05/2015 18:01

Labour

addstudentdinners2 · 06/05/2015 18:01

Erudite I am green!

YouTheCat · 06/05/2015 18:05

We need no more zero hours contracts, a living wage and no more cutting working tax credits.

The economy recovers from the bottom up not the top down.

ElectraCute · 06/05/2015 18:06

Everyone benefits from public spending Erudite.

Unless you're trying to suggest that you and yours never have the need for roads, hospitals, schools, street lights, rubbish disposal, etc? I have seen that argument from Tories on here before so it wouldn't surprise me.

MissPronounced · 06/05/2015 18:06

Labour. Tactical rather than ideological, though. I'd rather the Lib Dems won the seat but they haven't a chance.

Wishitwasnttme · 06/05/2015 18:08

Labour

Erudite · 06/05/2015 18:09

Absolutely Electra.

Which is why they are supported by the Tories.

We don't need a welfare state where people are better off than those in work though nor do we need Outreach Workers for men who have sex with men on £40 K a year. IMHO.

addstudentdinners2 · 06/05/2015 18:09

Erudite I don't actually understand your post, are you saying there should not be a welfare state or public spending?

If so that kind of backs my point up about selfish right wing politics.

Figster · 06/05/2015 18:14

Postal voted already

Conservative despite it being a yellow safe seat around here
