To ask you what your earliest symptoms of pregnancy were and if it's normal to be a week late!

That's it really. Am very careful with protection and stuff but am a week "late" and can't POAS until the shops open again in the morning.

My first question is whether anyone else has been a week or so late and not been pregnant; the second question is to ask what your very earliest symptoms of pregnancy were.

I'm really not sure I want to be pregnant. I'm a SM and an aunt and am happy with that...much as I love children and babies (and I really do), I don't see myself as a mother :(

Yes. I always seem to be late but I'm ttc so I think it's just natures way of being a bitch and giving me false hope, anyway enough about me this is your thread and it's about you.
Obviously pregnancy regardless of whether you're careful is always possible. I guess you'll just have to wait and see what happens when you test. I'll take it thT as you're using contraception a pregnancy is not what you're planning. I hope you get the result you want but yes to reassure you it's not unusual to be a week late.

DS1 - I was a bit more tired than usual, but not enough for me to have noticed if I hadn't already POAS and been looking out for pregnancy symptoms. So no real giveaway symptoms (other than missing periods) until he got big enough for me to feel him kicking. The placenta was at the front too which made it harder to feel the kicks. So after 20 weeks before I got pregnancy symptoms with him.

DS2 - heightened sense of smell kicked in about the same time my period was due.

I've also been a week late a few times without being pregnant.

The last time I was pregnant was 16 years ago. I just knew even before we dtd that conceived dd that I was going to get pregnant. It was the weirdest feeling. You could Call it mother's intuition.

Mine were extreme hunger, super sense of smell and bigger boobs. I have had all these and been a week late too though.

If you're careful with protection I think it's more likely that you ovulated late this cycle, which will make your period late. It's pretty common.

Are there any late-night convenience stores/garages which you could drive to? If you're really worried it might be better just to get a test and put your mind at rest.

Just try and put it out of your mind and have a good sleep then go out and get a test in the morning. Easier said than done I know!

Sore breasts yes, but I get those with a period. It's the metallic taste that's the indication for me. Six weeks is the earliest I've had that symptom though.

When you ask this question you'll get myriad symptoms etc that you can always apply to yourself so it's kind of unhelpful, imo, personally I had no symptoms until much later and even then it was just sore nipples and bigger boobs.

I was about 7 weeks when I had suspicions with DC1 and that was because I had had really sore nipples for a week and then I realised I hadn't had a period for a while (had been on/off the pill though). This was a really distinct symptom though. I tend to find any symptoms quite pronounced rather than just feeling "a bit tired" .

Have also been late or missed completely when I wasn't pregnant. Sometimes made me and I have started to suspect imagine other symptoms. Other times I thought nothing as I knew I couldn't be.

Very sensitive to smells - developed intense dislike of various washing powders, perfumes. I had a new leather bag that smelt very strongly and I had to lock it in a cupboard! A funny feeling in my mouth, almost like my tongue had been burnt. Massive mood swings.

In spite of all these symptoms, it did not even occur to me that I might be pregnant! I think I was about 8 weeks when I realised. I had just come off the pill and was waiting for an appointment to get a coil fitted. An unexpected (but lovely) surprise!

I'm currently 9 days late. As I've been unable to have PIV sex for a couple of months due to an op, there's no way I could be pregnant. So yes, very possible.

For me the first inkling I should take a pregnancy test was when I projectile vomited for no reason, and had taken it easy on a few nights out on the drink because I didn't feel like it (totally out of character at that time!). I then got the sore boobs and knackeredness.

Rage. I had irrational, inexplicable, unreasonable rage before any other symptoms. Swiftly followed by terrible sickness and unparalleled exhaustion. I really knew from very early on. Hope it works out for you, OP.

I was a week late in June, totally convinced myself I was pregnant... I wasn't. Same thing happened end of Oct/beginning of Nov so just assumed I was late again, started to have really sore boobs and felt really irritable. Turns out I was pregnant, 31 weeks today

For me it was having to pee every few minutes. As in, going to burst if I don't find a toilet type of feeling.

Can't have been more than a week pregnant at the time, period was only 2 days late by then. But mine are like clockwork.

My cat acting weird was my first symptom, I would have been less than 1 week when she started following me about and living on my stomach. I took 2 negative tests before finally getting bfp at 4 weeks. DH thought I was going mad but the cat and I just knew

Really tired and emotional but the thing that stood out to me was that I had really achy hips! I'm nearly two days late at the moment and am usually like clockwork but have been having mild period like cramp, although, if I remember correctly, I had these with DD too!

Sharp pains and a dragging type pain low down so not really like period cramps, they were more in the pelvic region.
More 'wet' down there, similar to when ovulating.
Outrageously moody all of the time like PMS permanently.
Stabbing pains in breasts and oddly, white spot things on the end of my nipples .
Sickness and tiredness didn't hit me until six weeks so when I was two weeks late...
