I love aldi so much it is saving me a fortune but I get so fed up of having to visit tesco afterwards to get the bits I can't get from aldi (oat milk, wholemeal finger rolls, wholemeal bagels, wholemeal pasta, alpro yogurts etc) it's bad enough dragging the twins round aldi but I hate having to then go to tesco straight after? It makes me want to go back to just shopping at tesco, grrrrrr.......

YANBU. I only went once, won't be bothering again... Vegan so the choice is extremely limited in there for us. The fruit and veg was appalling quality as well and, for example, the 99p cherries only contained about 5 or 6 cherries in a punnet so that's how they sold them so cheap I guess... End up having to buy five bloody punnets! The only things I was impressed by was the dried herbs and their version of shredded wheat. We ended up in tesco afterwards as well for the dairy free and meat free stuff but also some other basic things like seeded bread Hmm.

I don't drive either and the local aldi and lidl are miles away so it just doesn't make much sense for me to shop there at all. I get tired of people banging on about it and telling me I should go there, I DID and it sucked so no thanks. Morrisons for me and sometimes sainsburys or ocado too.

Giles, if you haven't seen them already have a look at field and flower meat boxes. I went with them as you get allocated a number of 'points' then choose what you put in. (You can go over you just have to pay the excess) Useful with a fussy toddler whose meat tastes stretch to mince and sausages Hmm.

Thanks sissy Smile

meat is the one thing that's disappointing to varying degrees everywhere so up for trying new places

I've always heard great things about Aldi and Lidl but I've never tried either. I work full time and online shopping in my treat to myself to lighten the load. We are a family of 3 and I spend £75ish per week with no top up shops. I don't think that is too bad really.

They look exactly what I'm after. 2 questions. Can I just order the boxes as and when I want them rather than have a monthly subscription?

and how far put do they deliver

I'm a recent Aldi convert. It saves me at least £20 a week. There are only a few things now that I get from Tesco so it only takes me a few minutes to pop in, grab what I need and get out again.

We had Aldi salmon wellington for dinner today and even fusspot DS had seconds.
