To be pissed off with my sonography today

I am currently pregnant with dc3. Having not found out with the other two what we were having, we were determined not to this time either. So despite needing various extra scans, having an amnio etc, we've so far managed to not find out the gender.

Until today. Despite the sonography remarking how unusual it was to have had all these extra tests and not find out, he then went on to say 'if you don't want to know, look away now, because it's very obvious!' So I duly closed my eyes but of course that effing stupid comment means I am having a boy. Which is fine, I am delighted to have a boy and mostly given all the tests, I am just delighted he is ok. But I am bloody pissed off by the unnecessary comment that has made it so obvious when I didn't want to know! Aibu, or just pregnant and hormonal?!

One of the pictures I ended up having was a ds's bum and bits with an added arrow pointes to his penis..

Haha I've got one of them too blacknwhite, an arrow pointing to the 'burger' with GIRL written above it!

You lot must have had amazingly clear eyes or fantastic eye sight as I couldn't ever work out what was what at all during my scans!

Op you still don't know.
I think the scans are for making sure the baby is measuring normally and all organs are present and correct etc, the fact that you get to see your baby is secondary.

The sonograper was probably just about to investigate the genital area and warning you to look away so he could look and you didn't ruin your surprise.

And youve totally missed the point!

Congrats on your little one whatever it is Grin
