To want to go to bed with Daddy?

I want to go to bed with Daddy. The boy is 5. Surely it must be my turn by now?

OP posts:

Yes..from the minute you read the thread it's obvious what she means.

AnyFucker · 25/04/2015 20:12

Just because I understood what "she" means doesn't mean I can't comment on the goady nature of the title.

StickyProblem · 25/04/2015 20:22

If you saw the first version of Freaky Friday with Jodie Foster, the wife clearly calls the husband "Daddy" in a sexy way. And Phil Collins calls a lot of the women he writes songs to "Mama". Nothing to do with paedophilia.

The thread as started by the OP is nothing to do with the (mainly US) usage of the word "Daddy" meaning sex partner.

Ugh this is creepy

It's got nothing to do with people not 'getting' the title. Some of us just think it was a bit snide and making a joke out of something that is bound to upset some people.

But of course you're always going to get the 'too cool for school, how could anyone be so stupid as to get annoyed by that' brigade. Sad

YouMakeMyHeartSmile · 25/04/2015 21:03

I thought it was more clumsily worded/badly thought out than goady/snide. Could be wrong though.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 25/04/2015 21:04

It does have a lot to do with it.

If you realise what someone meant it's just really mean spirited to make them feel dreadful about their thread title.

YouMakeMyHeartSmile · 25/04/2015 21:07

But yes, the 'too cool for school' and 'cool wife' esque retorts always get dragged out when people have a different take on things. Which in my opinion is more snide than this particular OP.

AnyFucker · 25/04/2015 21:08

op could come back and explain/apologise

but, no

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 25/04/2015 21:10

It's nothing to do with being cool. I don't give a shite about being cool.

I just thought the OP maybe was genuinely starting a joke thread and didn't deserve this.

Maybe not if they didn't come back. But I wouldn't fancy coming back if people were slating me like this either.

YouMakeMyHeartSmile · 25/04/2015 21:10

Maybe OP is busy this weekend with her husband and son...

chaletdays · 25/04/2015 21:11

Well that's your opinion smile. But often they're 'dragged out' because that's genuinely what people believe. Nothing snide about it.

And it does have something to do with it. The title was inappropriate and obviously designed to startle.

And no one starts a thread and never comes back to see replies. There's a good reason why the OP hasn't been back.

YouMakeMyHeartSmile · 25/04/2015 21:14

Like Fanjo I couldn't give a flying fuck about being cool. I just genuinely thought the OP had worded her title clumsily and it was supposed to be lighthearted, and that the PO brigade were out in force. If she doesn't come back for whatever reason then I guess we'll never know.

chaletdays · 25/04/2015 21:30

Nothing to do with being PO. It is a contentious title and people are going to have views. It's a big disingenuous to do the 'oh the usual too cool for school replies' and then come out with the PO accusation.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 25/04/2015 21:33

It's nothing to do with cool.

chaletdays · 25/04/2015 21:40

Ok.
