I can't see any other threads about this, but apologies if there are.
I've just seen this on Twitter and can't get my head around it not being a spoof.
I don't even know where to start picking out the gems. There is nothing in it approaching sane policy, and the contradictions are amazing
Under education, they want to introduce all-boys schools, with all-male staff
Then under employment, they want to remove the ability to specify gender for certain roles

I'm not clicking in case they take that as some sort of endorsement!

But yes, utterly silly. Aren't they the ones who want to ban abortions but also don't think a man's parental responsibility should kick in when he has sex (if the woman gets pregnant)?

sparechange · 23/04/2015 18:02

It's hosted on Wordpress, so I don't think they can benefit much from the traffic, and it's been on Twitter

But yes, a man needs to sign a form to confirm he is engaging in conception sex rather than recreational sex before he is financially liable!

"There are no areas in which the state disadvantages women and girls. "

Bwahahaha!

See, I do believe that men should have equal parental rights and duties. I've had a number of male friends and family who've had to fight for access to or custody of their children and have been appalled by what they've gone through.

But these people are just morons.

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/04/2015 18:07

I do believe that men should have equal parental rights and duties. Me too. That's one of the many reasons I call myself a feminist.

BTW these are the people who turn up when their name is called. Like a horror film. Be warned...

Andrewofgg · 23/04/2015 18:13

Some sort of hoax? I told this story on another thread buy here goes anyway:

A few years ago a group of students in one of the American States - some men, some women - ran an amazing prank: they started collecting signatures on a petition for a ballot, as many States allow, on a law to end the suffrage of women and got hundreds of a signatures in a single day, presumably (well, I have to hope) from people who thought "suffrage" meant "suffering".

If not: well, every election produces cranks and crackpot candidates, and they don't do any real harm. Having said which Winston Churchill lost his seat in Dundee to a Prohibitionist in 1922 and they don't come more crank and crackpot than that!

foreverdepressed · 23/04/2015 18:15

Mostly bollocks I'm sure.... although some valid points woven into the madness.

I especially like the fact the 'references' include heavyweight sources such as a Wordpress blog, the Daily Mail and a PDF document hosted on someone's desktop! - That wouldn't even pass for a GCSE standard essay surely?

sparechange · 23/04/2015 18:16

I love they repeatedly insinuate, but are too chicken shit to come out and say 'every woman in a good job is depriving a man having it'.
I don't think it would take much to get them to admit they would ideally want a cap on what a woman can earn, and probably a system where they have to resign if a man comes along and wants the job. Especially for doctors.

Am loving the rigour of their evidence base too, forever. Bless their inadequate little hearts.

willnotbetamed · 23/04/2015 18:30

I made the mistake of starting to read this. The Fuckwit Manifesto. MsTerry here's the bit you mean, I think:

" In an age when contraception has long been readily available and highly reliable, women should be held morally accountable for the children they conceive".

Nice. Because of course we all conceive without outside help, right? So it can only be our fault if contraception doesn't work...

ApocalypseThen · 23/04/2015 18:32

although some valid points woven into the madness

Give us a few examples.

TomCruiseCreepsMeOut · 23/04/2015 18:37

Any man (or woman) who would give this lot the time of day is an utter pillock, and inadequate as a person. They are not interested in helping men and boys...they are interested in hurting women and girls. Sad, sad people.

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/04/2015 18:37

That's the chestnut willnot. They really are doing the vast majority of decent men a disservice.

TedAndLola · 23/04/2015 18:40

Almost equal measures of hilarious and rage inducing.

guinnessguzzler · 23/04/2015 18:42

They are led by a very bitter man whose main source of anger seems to be that he treated his ex wife like sh*t and then had to take the consequences of his behaviour. I think it's pretty much a one man band who scapegoats an entire group because its easier than taking responsibility for their own actions. Which seems to be a fairly popular approach to politics at the moment.

willnotbetamed · 23/04/2015 18:43

...Mostly hilarious, though. I notice they cite Catherine Hakim as "a world-renowned sociologist" - as far as I remember, she has been fairly well discredited. Their defence of the traditional family - men as leaders, protectors, and breadwinners - is funny and almost a bit sad...

letscookbreakfast · 23/04/2015 18:46

WTF they are fucking idiots.

willnotbetamed · 23/04/2015 18:46

Ok, now I'm angry though:

"The majority of abusive intimate relationships involve a degree of reciprocity. Both partners are to some extent perpetrators and victims at various times, both prone to provoke and/or initiate violence."

She provoked me, guv'nor. My hand slipped. Couldn't help it. Wtf?

ApocalypseThen · 23/04/2015 18:47

They are led by a very bitter man whose main source of anger seems to be that he treated his ex wife like sht and then had to take the consequences of his behaviour.*

I read an amusing remark about MRAs during the week. They complain about what they call low quality women but it never strikes them that normal, functional women want nothing to do with bitter, lazy, angry men.

willnotbetamed · 23/04/2015 18:49

"A man’s consent to sex is not the same as his consent to fatherhood."

WELL WEAR A FUCKING CONDOM THEN.

TedAndLola · 23/04/2015 18:54

WELL WEAR A FUCKING CONDOM THEN.

And accept that if you do (or use any other contraception) it isn't foolproof and that's a risk you take by having sex.

willnotbetamed · 23/04/2015 18:55

Just one more beauty and then I'll stop, I promise:

"Anyone who harbours any doubts that feminism is a movement with the ultimate aim of female supremacy, and is driven by misandry, would do well to watch a video by the legendary videomaker ManWomanMyth,2
and read the output of a British blogger, Herbert Purdy.3 In one particularly insightful piece, Purdy drew accurate parallels between feminists and Nazis."

Right, girls, better go and get my knuckledusters ready for another evening of beating up men. Have a good evening!

Mandatorymongoose · 23/04/2015 18:55

Oh one of this lot was posting in FWR chat not long ago, he went down well...

rallytog1 · 23/04/2015 18:56

He was on the Jeremy Vine show a while back and sounded extremely bonkers.

I'm particularly enjoying the fact that women should not go to work if they have children, but if their husband walks out on them, she should compensate him for his stake in the family home.

pp is right - they are doing men a disservice.

Mandatorymongoose · 23/04/2015 19:00

I'll try that again but clicky
