There's a second thread (I've suggested they join in with the watchers here).

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2363451-to-think-the-E4-switchoff-on-election-day-is-a-strange-idea

And it includes a sighting of the dancing one.

Cooking sherry all round?

fourquenelles · 07/05/2015 15:16

I saw the Panda!! Squeeee.

Hello fellow strange people.

GlacindaTheTroll · 07/05/2015 18:25

It's a game of noughts and crosses with that creepy clown again.

AuntieStella · 07/05/2015 18:27

An homage to the old test card? Only much weirder.

Idontseeanydragons · 07/05/2015 18:30

This is bizarrely addictive.

BigBirthdayGloom · 07/05/2015 18:31

I'm sure this has been said, but I'd have found this hugely patronising when I was under 25. Do they have any evidence that it'll help? Smacks a bit of mum turning off the telly so that the kids will play outside or read a book. Lazy too when they could have had a non party political celebration of democracy and voting with bright young things saying how important voting is. A bit late too-out godson didn't register (cross with him Angry ) so no telly still wouldn't enable him to vote today. But sorry e4 if you've been doing all the persuasion stuff before today.

cozietoesie · 07/05/2015 18:32

I think we should run a book on who will do the switch-on at 19.00. Darren, the panda and the clown are the protagonists so far but who knows who E4 could rope in at the last moment to 'assist' Darren?

I was going to vote tonight but now I feel compelled to go and watch the disco dancing panda...

Idontseeanydragons · 07/05/2015 18:34

Oh dear God - what are they drinking at E4??

AuntieStella · 07/05/2015 18:34

Who's that woman? Shock

cozietoesie · 07/05/2015 18:35

The one in the white nightdress and the long black wig?

Idontseeanydragons · 07/05/2015 18:37

Tbh I find E4's actions a lot less patronising than the party political broadcasts and the utter guff that most politicians expect us to swallow.

cozietoesie · 07/05/2015 18:37

She must have hidden behind the Turning On machine in order to surprise Darren - in true axe-murderer tradition.

cozietoesie · 07/05/2015 18:38

The robotic tsetse fly hovers.

cozietoesie · 07/05/2015 18:39

Sorry - it's a kitten in a flying machine now I see it properly.

cozietoesie · 07/05/2015 18:41

You do all realize that this is probably deeply - deeply - significant in political terms?

GlacindaTheTroll · 07/05/2015 18:55

Only a few minutes to go!

(Unless you're fan enough to switch to Plus One)

SunsetDreamer · 07/05/2015 18:59

I've just turned e4 on to see what's happening... It's quite addictive! I might just sit and watch it all evening!

He checked his watch. Pulled a lever.

Gone!

cozietoesie · 07/05/2015 19:02

You can catch some of it again when they likely analyze it this evening. 'What did the axe-murderer in the nightdress mean and did E4 have access to private polls?'

GlacindaTheTroll · 07/05/2015 19:06

I was wondering if she was a Kate Bush-alike.

cozietoesie · 07/05/2015 19:08

Axe-murderer, Glacinda. No question in my mind.

GlacindaTheTroll · 07/05/2015 19:39

Another question: why did the drone have a kitten on it?

cozietoesie · 07/05/2015 19:43

Beats me. I'll have to watch the political analyses this evening.
