Scotland voted to stay in the UK, David Cameron and Ed Milliband wanted this, now it feels like they wish we hadnt.

I know, Ubik, it's fucking offensive (and stupid). I remember arguing with someone pre-referendum, who said the SNP were like the Stasi and Gestapo. Whatever your feelings re: the SNP, that's horribly offensive to anyone who lived under those threats.

I know a few folk who lived in East Germany who came here for a better life and say they'd laugh their heads off at comparisons between here and EG with the Stasi if they weren't so ignorant and disrespectful.
