The look of disgust on his face and wiping his mouth.

Aibu to think it would be a different reaction if a woman was subjected to a kiss she clearly was disgusted by?

He has said on his Instagram 'Don't misinterpret my shock! I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel 100 about that forever. Thank you Madonna'

Haven't seen the video but the photo stills don't look like shock is what he was experiencing, more like repulsion Hmm

DadOnIce · 14/04/2015 14:53

He feels 100 after snogging her? Blimey, she's not that old.

Ginmartini · 14/04/2015 17:00

Ha ha that's the best he could do 'don't misinterpret my shock' and then not explain what the grossed out expression was actually about?

But in all seriousness totally agree that if it was, say Mick Jagger, shoving his tongue down Katy Perry's throat and she looked disgusted there'd be calls of assault/abuse.

MistressDeeCee · 15/04/2015 17:20

A man going around doing this would be deemed an old lech. No different for Madonna really, if she's into going around making sure she jumps on stage and snogs the face off young men 1/2 her age, whether scripted or for the shock factor, then yuk comments are to be expected really. Nor is it a given that just because she's Madonna the young guy is definetely going to enjoy it, nor does he have to. Maybe he'd have been happier if it were a young woman, who knows. Either way tho when you're doing stuff like that for publicity, there's no guarantee that the reaction will be positive although either way its publicity isn't it. Somehow I do feel its a bit sad she has to resort to this kind of thing, tho..she's an icon isn't that enough for her...?

Oswin · 15/04/2015 17:25

I think that expression is his put on face. Like "thats hot". He pulls the exact face in the Nicki Minaj video anaconda when she's shaking her arse in his face.

LaurieFairyCake · 15/04/2015 17:27

He looks like he's reaching up to caress her hair.

It's clearly staged.

I've never heard of him or Coachella either.

rebelfor · 15/04/2015 17:30

I think that expression is his put on face. Like "thats hot".

Agreed. And just look at all the publicity they have both got through it...

MistressDeeCee · 15/04/2015 17:39

Drake is an extremely popular artiste with a big fanbase. Can't see that he'd essentially need publicity via Madonna really, he's certainly not an unknown amongst his own age group/generation at all. Otherwise..Madonna wouldn't want to kiss him, there'd be nothing in it for her

MistressDeeCee · 15/04/2015 17:40

I like Madonna tho & wish she'd leave stunts like this alone, be confident in who she is and what she's achieved...

seafoodeatit · 15/04/2015 17:50

Drake Ramore (spelling?) Joey from friends came to mind, other than that I have no idea who he is.

For celebrities, there really is no limit to the things they'll do for a bit more attention.

AureliaAubrey · 15/04/2015 18:20

That's one of his more known songs. It has 140 million views.

I've known 3 UK tours where he had to add extra dates because they were selling out that fast.

So I know a few people on here don't know who he is, probably because they are not his target audience but he is famous.

If it had been the other way around, there would have been cries of 'sexual assault' and suggestions of police involvement, I guarantee it.

Lweji · 15/04/2015 21:44

I'm just shocked that Madonna kissing someone on stage is still considering shocking.

Also amused at the DM's "56-year-old mother-of-four"

Pedallleur · 17/04/2015 11:43

Madonna is not one to miss a media opportunity whether it's this incident or the alleged 'fall' that conveniently happened the week a tour/album was to be announced. media coverage is her world and it worked

WaddaLegend · 17/04/2015 19:18

Eh? Am I watching the same video?! She pulled his head back but then as she sorted her hair out he kept his head back and waited for her, it's not like she forced his head back then restrained him as she forced her lips on him. Plus when he raised his arm it didn't look as if he was trying to push her off, he put his hand on the back of her head Confused

qazxc · 19/04/2015 10:04

I would assume it wasn't planned seeing his reaction and the fact that he said "WTF just happened?".
IMHO it's assault, imagine if Mick Jagger stuck his tongue down Katy Perry's throat without her expecting it, and then follow it up on twitter with "B*h, you're a fan". There'd be uproar.

mothership22 · 19/04/2015 11:47

I think this is scripted, but if it wasn't I don't think she should have kissed him because as someone else said, if the genders where swapped there would be an uproar.

NigelFarageIsABellend · 19/04/2015 11:50

I don't think it's feminist for a woman to act like a misogynistic man.

LostMyBaubles · 19/04/2015 12:03

From what ive read he enjoyed the kiss but the lipstick made him wipe his face and that turned him off hence the expression

ps I do have a few of his songs

DowntownFunk · 19/04/2015 12:09

Wish she'd stop snogging people on stage. Creeped me out when she first did it with Britney.

Deliberately trying to court controversy is yawntastic.

Koalafications · 19/04/2015 12:12

I've watched the video in the link that Worra posted and it makes me feel quite uncomfortable.

He doesn't seem happy in the clip.

I wonder whether he was told to post that he was happy about the kiss? I'm sure Madonna has a very influential management team.

WhirlpoolGalaxyM51 · 19/04/2015 12:17

I was also in the who is Drake camp

And reading for enlignthenment

Saw the OP's last post with a video and misread it as "This is one of his more known SNOGS"

And was utterly baffled for a while Grin

I feel like I ought to watch the clip now that I've posted but really don't want to.

WhirlpoolGalaxyM51 · 19/04/2015 12:19

Hmm interesting
He was obviously expecting it
And obviously didn't like it
Which is totally contradictory
Weird.

WhirlpoolGalaxyM51 · 19/04/2015 12:21

I would imagine that he was pretty much told he had to, but one would hope a performer would be a better actor IYSWIM. If he's agreed to it then it seems odd to be so disgusted, which he obviously was. If he is disgusted, then it's terrible he can't say no, assuming that's what happened, I assume that sort of thing goes on quite a lot in entertainment though.

Wouldn't they have rehearsed?

It's very peculiar.

Yarp · 19/04/2015 13:04

It could be disgust, but my first thought was that he was in pain.
