The look of disgust on his face and wiping his mouth.

Aibu to think it would be a different reaction if a woman was subjected to a kiss she clearly was disgusted by?

I think it was scripted too. But scripted doesn't mean he had to fake enjoying it.

Madonna needs publicity stunts like this to stay relevant. Drake doesn't.

Never heard of him

glittertits · 13/04/2015 15:35

My above post was basically illiterate - apologies! What I meant to say was:

Knowing anything about Madonna, putting Drake's arm back down was both about continuing the kiss, and about ensuring the photographers could get a clear shot of her face for the money shot.

AureliaAubrey · 13/04/2015 15:36

Please tell me lots of people are in the "who the hell is 'Drake'?" club?

Really? I'm not the hugest fan of his music but I assumed a majority of people knew who he was in general.

He's even headlined for Coachella this year.

glitz it's the way you completely ignored the point at hand and decided to derail with that.

Woman gets sexually assaulted, we don't try and drag her character down. BTW he's right to get a stage dry, 'elf and safety.

glittertits · 13/04/2015 15:37

Exactly. I imaging Madonna has a much larger, more influential PR machine behind her than Drake has, and could be quite powerful/persuasive in getting Drake's producers to go along with her stunt.

AureliaAubrey · 13/04/2015 15:38

Oh wow I've not once said it was ok

I think that you're first response was - he's a twat.

Which has nothing to do with this and makes it seem like you justify what happened.

EvoraEvora · 13/04/2015 15:39

glitz, i wrote you a response but it seems to have evaporated away

basically what grays said.

you clearly think his character has some bearing on wethet we see madonnas actions as ok or not, otherwise why bring it up.

FreudiansSlipper · 13/04/2015 15:41

was she wearing her ridiculous looking grills

if so I would imagine it would be painful

or maybe as she has had so much botox she has little control over her facial muscles and this effects her kissing technique

LastOneDancing · 13/04/2015 15:43

Grin @ dadOnIce

Hes headlining at Coachella [sp?] you say? Hm, yeah I don't know what that is either.

It's confirmed. I am 36 well past it.

If it helps Last, I'm 28 & hadn't heard of Coachella Is it something to do with Cinderella's pumpkin?! or Drake before all this either. Mind you, at 12 I was more interested in The Beatles than The Spice Girls so I'm probably not the best person to be commenting on popular culture! Grin

It'll be interesting to see if he makes any comment on it - from the video I'd guess he was willing initially but she carried on after he wanted it to stop. Could open up a public discussion on consent & the withdrawal thereof.

AureliaAubrey · 13/04/2015 16:12

Coachella is a music festival in California.

Coachella sounds like one of those terribly "interesting" names parents in Primrose Hill type places would give their unfortunate offspring.

"Coachella, darling, put that down, and come over here and help me and Anais and Bultitude choose the organic quinoa for tonight's supper."

FenellaFellorick · 13/04/2015 17:04

I don't know who he is (I don't know who coachella is either) I think that sometimes it can be impossible to mask revulsion. I once had someone slobber all over me and I heaved. I couldn't help it. I had to wipe their saliva from my lips. It was the last time I ever let anyone slobber anywhere near me! Luckily I married a man who shares my view that a tongue should remain wholly in the mouth it grows from and that saliva is not a dip for two! Grin

I can't tell from the photos what happened. Maybe it was revolting. Maybe he wasn't expecting it. Maybe she's a smoker. Perhaps it's poor dental hygiene. or yes, maybe he's an arse and he planned it, decided that he was going to pretend to be horrified and to dramatically wipe his mouth for some reason. I wouldn't jump to that conclusion though, having been the recipient of unexpected saliva not originating in my own mouth, I'd assume that for whatever reason, he really needed to take a breath and give his gob a wipe.

Now I've made myself feel ill again just remembering it Grin

TheShouldersOfGiants · 13/04/2015 17:09

Probably trying to get people to stop laughing talking about her fall off stage.

Drake's face was a picture. She needs to chill.

pictish · 13/04/2015 18:00

Well he certainly didn't enjoy that did he?

Some of the posts to MN's Facebook page about this are tucking disgusting - references to 'slag granny's' (sic), etc. Angry

BoyScout · 13/04/2015 20:12

Dear old Madonna. Always trying so, so hard to be shocking.

scarletforya · 13/04/2015 20:21

I think she moved his hand as he was about to put it into her hair and she didn't want him to feel her weave/extensions. She's that vain.

I felt sorry for the poor fella. If it was the other way around it would be called sexual assault. She's just desperate.

whatatit · 13/04/2015 21:52

Apparently it was the after taste of her lipstick that made him gag
