To not offer to pick colleague up?

Our job is car based. Colleague doesn't drive.

Normally I do pick people up from their home or close to home - but she lives ten minutes away from me. We finish our shift near to where I live. If I drop her off and pick her up, I'm adding twenty minutes to my shift.

AIBU to not offer to pick her up? I feel a bit mean.

I'm a domicillary care worker and my company won't employ non-drivers for exactly this reason. For drivers who have car trouble they provide a pool car (with a daily cost to the carer) but they are adamant that we are responsible for managing our transport needs!!

I would not be doing the extra drivingif it takes you out of your way - you are not responsible for getting colleagues to/from work on a regular basis especially if it's taking so far out of your way twice a day!!
