There is a lot of threads about horrible children.

My little girl is a lovely polite child and people are always nice enough to say how well behaved she is. I only have one, so for me I suppose it's easier.

She is very good at waiting. Only the other day we was in the bank for an hour and she was as good as gold. She is good leaving parks and play houses and even eats vegetables! !! Can take her shopping with me for food and things no problem. She is also good at sharing.

What lovely things do your children do?

She sounds lovely OP. I am useless at waiting..will she do us a masterclass? My great nephew is 7 and terrific. He's just been blessed with a baby sister and is excellent at soothing her.

My lovely dd picks flowers weeds from our garden for me! My lovely ds writes me little notes and letters all the time.

Unescorted · 11/04/2015 09:11

They tell me they love me on a near daily basis (even when dd is in a teenage hormonal strop) - makes me feel all warm and gooey.

MillionToOneChances · 11/04/2015 09:12

My children worship and adore me out of all proportion to how lovely I am (ie I am just a normal caring mummy but they think the sun shines out of my bottom). My DD13 sends me long texts detailing specifically how amazing I am.

They let me have lie-ins at weekends, which might have something to do with the fact that when I get up I often turn off the TV....

mupperoon · 11/04/2015 09:15

Not my child, but my 4yo nephew shares every treat he gets. At Easter he offered the first bite of his choc bunny to my husband. He's always sharing bags of crisps etc. I hate anyone to have even a single Quaver out of my bag so I find this most admirable!

nothanksbyenow · 11/04/2015 09:18

My daughter aged 2 has just picked up my (empty) mug from the floor by the sofa and placed it on the nearest table for me. She's a tidy soul in general. And she is generous with the hugs.

lornathewizzard · 11/04/2015 09:18

My 8mo DD offers to share her toast with me. And blows me kisses. And is wonderfully adorable :)

Fcukfifa · 11/04/2015 09:21

Ds, 5, can be a nightmare at times but he does scratch my back for me which gives him big brownie points. He's also mega proud of me, when at soft play he brings any friends over and says 'that's my mum' with his chufty face on.
He will also tell me (and his dad) that we look 'flabulous' when we get ready.

Ds, 2 is good as gold all of the time but doesn't talk yet so hasn't mastered the art of flattery yet

Minshu · 11/04/2015 09:24

My DD sounds similar to OP's except her patience may not be quite so good. She's an only child, too, so on her own a lot and can make friends really easily when we're out and about, or can play well on her own.

Fairygodfucker · 11/04/2015 09:26

A few weeks back dc3 was regaling us with his day where he was punched the the head, face and stomach by some little git who has been picking on him at school. Dc2 immediately asked for the next day off school so he could go to dc3s school and be his bodyguard whilst dc1 mused that little gits sister goes to her school and she could beat her up to send home a message to leave her DB alone. So much cuteness amongst the psycho.
(Dc1 didn't because she knows how disappointed I would be if she were to sink to little gits level)

dingit · 11/04/2015 09:29

Dd makes me a cup of tea without me asking, puts her arm round me if I'm sad. Ds, erm, nothing I can think of, but gives lovely cuddles sometimes.

Christinayangstwistedsister · 11/04/2015 09:32

He tells me he loves me

Cuddles me

Asks me how I am( I have a painful skin condition)

He is kind, considerate, funny, smart....and I love him to bits

CrabbyTheCrabster · 11/04/2015 09:32

Makes me a cup of tea every morning. Tells me that she loves me several times a day. Smile

MillionToOneChances · 11/04/2015 09:40

My DS is incredibly generous, always wanting to give money or sweets (I decline the former, and obviously accept the latter!).

FriendofBill · 11/04/2015 09:41

My DS is lovely to other children, especially young ones, and tries to befriend them.

DD the same, but different. Not judgey, supportive and kind, to everyone.

ahbollocks · 11/04/2015 09:42

Ds will share any food stuff with anyone Grin
Its very cute. He coukd be down to his last two smarties and still offer me one!

DevonFolk · 11/04/2015 09:47

DD brings me an endless stream of cards, pictures and flowers. She offers to share her food with me and tells me a thousand times a day how much she loves me. Recently she made me super proud on a day out when she faced several moments that could have resulted in traumatic meltdown but she dealt with each of them beautifully.

We have a very intense relationship and at times it gets very stressful, but basically she's bloody awesome and I wouldn't change her for the world

Discopanda · 11/04/2015 10:16

Mine is only 3 but she gives me lots of cuddles and kisses and she helps me with little things around the house like wiping surfaces and putting her plate in the kitchen after eating. Every morning she wakes me up by getting into my bed with her cuddly toys for a cuddle :-)

Welshmaenad · 11/04/2015 10:22

Mine are 8 and 4. They're amazingly loving, compassionate little beasts. My dad is in poor health and U.S. frequently taken ill, yesterday we had to rush down to him (5 mins away) as he was unwell, we had to cancel play dates they had been looking forward to. They didn't whinge or complain, they were just worried about Grampy. They were good as gold at his house, went I play outside when the Dr came, wanted to stay and look after him while I went to get his prescription.

When I came back they had put pillows under his feet, got him drinks, drawn him a picture each and measured out exactly 1/3 of their combined sweets and put them in a dish for him.

Welshmaenad · 11/04/2015 10:23

Sorry, IS taken ill, and 45 not 5 mins away!

confusedandemployed · 11/04/2015 10:26

2yo DD said yesterday, "Mummy you're beautiful"

confusedandemployed · 11/04/2015 10:27

Welshmaenad that is so lovely, I just had a little tear!

ThankingLuckyStars · 11/04/2015 10:59

DS (3yo) is always so concerned when anybody isn't well/has a minor ailment. He'll remember it for ages and ask how they are. When I'm sick he strokes my hair, brings me a teddy and gets his doctors kit to make me all better.

He's very good at sharing which I find impressive as he's an only child.

He's very generous with cuddles and 'I love yous'. Although I may have forced him into submission with those Grin

ThankingLuckyStars · 11/04/2015 10:59

Oh and when I go clothes shopping he'll tell me I look beautiful every time I try something on. He's my favourite person to shop with Smile
