YABU

I completely lost track of the date and didn't realise it was today until yesterday morning. Rushed to 3 separate supermarkets and managed 3 crappy eggs.... I doubt there will be any left tomorrow

Well this thread is weird! Confused

SilverBirch2015 · 05/04/2015 15:19

What's all this personal nastiness and assassination of the OP's parenting about?

ghostspirit · 05/04/2015 15:40

Egg rolling is alive and well here in central Scotland. Next doors kids left with their parents (and eggs) a couple of hours ago heading for a country park to do a bit of rolling.

I remember as a child painting hard boiled eggs and taking them out to roll and eat. Always had to remember to take the salt.

"Yes I do get waves of laziness. But in relation to not being arsed to clean the house or put on a load of washing."

I'd argue that a slightly unclean house is lazier than not buying your child chocolate on an arbitrary day in the calendar.

Offs nspcc! Ha.... Yeah sure they'll give a shiny shit. The cakes look great. Sure your dcs had great fun!

Went to the supermarket today and it was HEAVING with unsold eggs at knock-down prices. Got a massive Lindt one with egg and big gold bunnies for DS for £3 and a non-dairy one for me for £2.

Result!

Story, Im glad to hear Egg rolling is still alive and well in Scotland.

And re painting eggs - I can recall dying them different colours by boiling them up in a pot with pairs of tights.
