not my fault that DH s parents didnt get him an egg

DH has been complaining since Christmas to any adult who will listen that he is putting on weight and he has decided to stop eating chocolate.
However he doesn't really stick to this, he just says it when he is out and then when we get home he has chocolate for pudding and if there isn't any chocolate in the house he will mither and eventually go to the shop and buy himself some.

So we went to the ILs today and they had bought the DCs an Easter egg and a load of Easter gifts. They had also bought me an Easter egg but they had bought DH a car washing kit because he had told them that he was giving it up and he didn't want any.

Since we got home he has been complaining saying that it was my fault because I should have told his parents that he would still want one.

He has just gone to the shop to by himself a replacement egg" because the only time anyone has taken him seriously was the time he didn't want them too"

He's a spoilt child in an adults body!

ClashCityRocker · 03/04/2015 21:06

He's an adult.

Do adults even get Easter eggs?

Tell him to grow the fuck up.

BlinkAndMiss · 03/04/2015 21:07

Ridiculous! His parents didn't get him an Easter egg so he's sulking? A grown man?

Unless he's deeply religious then he is being massively unreasonable, and even if he is deeply religious he's being massively unreasonable. I take it that he's observed all that Easter requires since he's so upset then?

tumbletumble · 03/04/2015 21:07

He is BU

He sounds like a right dickhead. How old is he? Seven?

YoureAMeanGirl · 03/04/2015 21:08

Wow.

Am I the only one who can see the humour here?
I'd be laughing my socks off if it were my dh Grin

YoureAMeanGirl · 03/04/2015 21:09

That quote at the end is hilarious.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 03/04/2015 21:11

They bought h a present and he complained? Grin

He's a spoilt boy who needs to give his head a wobble, idiot man!

Flissity83 · 03/04/2015 21:11

Haha. Sounds like something my DP would do. This Christmas he counted how many presents he had compared to me. I just roll my eyes and ignore him.

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 03/04/2015 21:11

I couldn't put up with that kind of childish crap from my DH.

He literally sounds like a whining six year old.

nequidnimis · 03/04/2015 21:12

Awww think I must be the only person on here who can sympathise, but I take chocolate seriously (and your never too old for an egg).

primulaprimulina · 03/04/2015 21:15

This is pure 'Sit Com' material. Absolutely hilarious.

Panzee · 03/04/2015 21:15

He needs to be on the toddler tantrums thread. Cutted up pears, broken bananas, etc etc.

"I said I didn't want it, but you're not supposed to believe me!"

LaurieFairyCake · 03/04/2015 21:16

I think you should now throw a proper lying on the floor screaming tantrum about him not sharing his car cleaning kit - lots of tears and over dramatics

And then get up and raise the eyebrow of death and get yourself a glass of wine

Floggingmolly · 03/04/2015 21:16

Shove your egg up his arse.

petpuddle · 03/04/2015 21:18

My grandmother always says your never too old for an Easter egg (she's 83 and she has 3 eggs)
I now have two, which I keep casually gloating about mentioning.

Yes they bought him a present and he was grateful for it to them.

This is hilarious (and sadly probably how I would react when presented with everyone else having chocolate and me not Blush )

Cut him some slack, offer him half your egg!

SolidGoldBrass · 03/04/2015 21:18

I tend to buy myself an easter egg. Or several. But that's just because I like them (there is something different about the way the chocolate tastes whenit's molded into an egg shape). But I wouldn't carry on like this knobber. Is he usually this childish, OP?

ThatBloodyWoman · 03/04/2015 21:19

What egg has he gone to get himself?
I bet its a super duper one and he'll return all triumphant!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 03/04/2015 21:19

What is it about Easter eggs and DHs? They all seem to be turning into raving lunatics (the men, not the eggs) Grin

petpuddle · 03/04/2015 21:24

He has gone to get himself any Easter egg he can find so yes probably the biggest one.
I don't fancy his chances around here though as the local shops are quite small and once they are gone they are gone so he may well drive to town tomorrow to get himself one.
