I've always felt a bit smug when there are floods because our house is on top of a hill....well not tonight. I sleep in the attic bedroom, and it is shaking like fuck up here. Should I do something or just ignore ? Its an old house, so I'm hoping guessing its managed to stay up this long....Confused

The hospital ward I'm working on is basement/ground floor so can't imagine what it's like in higher or more exposed places. I decamped to the office for a while which is much quieter but I'll be back in the corridor soon.

No idea how the patients are managing to sleep.

South Devon here, dp and I are trying to find the silicon so we can seal our squealing window. Feels like the wind is a tad stronger than estimated Hmm

RandomMess · 31/03/2015 06:34

I've been awake since 4.30 too; given up trying to get back to sleep.

Totality22 · 31/03/2015 06:51

I've been awake on and off all night. Baby had me up a few times but wind was the main culprit.

It sounds horrendous out. Glad we're in today waiting for a delivery.

I got to sleep about 5:30 - then as I don't have work today DH let me sleep so I totally missed seeing DS off to school on the bus. The wind is still horrendous and I'm now having an anxiety attack that a tree will fall on the school or the bus will be in an accident and I didn't see DS this morning! Sad
Anxiety sucks!

All the fences in my back garden are down. Could do without this today Sad

I could feel the block of flats shaking. I was on the top floor of four, plus pitched roof.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 31/03/2015 11:10

Its windy here. I live in a fairly new build and it sounds like someone is kicking the front and patio door.

squoosh · 31/03/2015 11:12

I used to live in a top floor tenement flat at the top of a hill. My flat frequently used to sway.

GlitzAndGigglesx · 31/03/2015 11:55

I've been to work and back home. Still v windy here in London and whatever was making noise on the roof is still at it Angry. I have no access to the roof to go and investigate. It could be shit bag mice in the pipes again but it only started last night so I have a feeling something has blown up there

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 31/03/2015 11:58

Theres no rain but its windy, the clothes are going out on the line.
