Married to him 10 years so if I say it "all the time" like he says, then he'd be used to it by now right? Ok here's how the convo went .. (So you can get it into context)

Me "that rug in our office has been there stinking the place out with someone elses dog piss - we have our own pets to clean up after without adding to it!"

(He's a carpet cleaner. He has stored a rug for a customer in our office that her dog pissedurinated on and it's been there over a month - uncleaned)

Him "don't swear!! I find it really offensive when you say that! - it's not necessary!!"
Me "I only said "PISS" ??!!

Him "you say it all the time!! It's disgusting!"

I'm 42 years Young with 4 kids -8 guineapigs a dog 2 cats and 2 rabbits I have earned my right to say piss and fuck and twat I think my freedom of speech is being denied!? He's always been the same about me swearing - it's like living in the pissing dark ages!!!

Ps kids were not around listening!

I actually hate the word "ladylike", on the grounds it's too often used in a "woman, know thy place" sort of vibe.

I think the word piss doesn't get used massively here, except when it's raining Grin

I'm more likely to be found saying bollocks.

"It's not really ladylike to swear, is it?"

Thank fuck I'm not a lady, then.

gimmecake - I'd have told him to fuck the fuck off to the far side of fuck and then when he got there, to fuck off some more.

Yeah but the client's dog didn't bollocks on the rug. He pissed on it. Grin

Then pissed is obviously the right word here Grin

I shouldn't be laughing so much ... At this thread - but I am! Thing is I do love my hubby but he is an arse and he did leave a dog piss soaked rug in our office for a month .. It drove me to say the word "PISS!" to him!!!! Shock do u think this was our FIRST conversation about the rug? So what does THAT tell you about my respect for HIS delicate aversion to vulgar language ???!!! Grin my urge to shout PISS is now at 9.5... I reach 10 ... You'll hear me yell it from Australia!!! Grin
