Now! For everything! Its all I've read today on MN.
Give the police a break for goodness' sake - weird neighbours, rudeness from strangers, missing parcels, abducted cats... Good grief.

Here is the < plate > on which to hand me my arse.

And at no point have I been unkind to Christy, I'm even not bolding her name, as requested.

PotOfYoghurt · 28/03/2015 22:41

Well this thread's becoming slightly odd.

christycreme · 28/03/2015 22:41

Im actually intrigued now. Im aware that I have a very clumsy posting style and always put my foot in it, are they the same?

UncertainSmile · 28/03/2015 22:42

Aren't they all, eventually.

Salmotrutta · 28/03/2015 22:42

I "continued"?

I believe I stated two things.

I'm out.

UncertainSmile · 28/03/2015 22:42

I don't think your style is clumsy, I think it's interesting.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 28/03/2015 22:45

Reasons I have called 999:

Neighbours having domestic and throwing around crockery and furniture at each other.

Neighbour with breathing difficulties, has lung cancer and got pneumonia.

Neighbour found dead by daughter. Died of a heart attack according to coroner.

Young daughter ran from me in town (am disabled) and disappeared. Has no danger awareness and was at risk. Police located and returned her.

Elderly lady fell on the road in front of us, we couldn't get her up and she was bleeding from cuts to her head.

We were in the car and a lorry with unsecured load started shedding in front of us. Large sheets of metal came flying towards the windscreen and we went over a couple of them, they were in the middle of the motorway and a big risk to other vehicles.

Pregnant and passed out from bowel pain, suspected bowel blockage, as had history. Sweet sweet gas and air.

Reasons I have called 101:

Suspected I was an audio witness to a stabbing and police were looking for witnesses.

Being followed around with a newborn in a pram being threatened by two girls who were saying they were going to hurt me. One of them was the ex of my son's father, who I am no longer with. On three occasions.

To report that I was being harassed by my abusive ex and that I was afraid for my personal safety. Twice.

Talking to a suicidal friend who lived at the other end of the country who was alone with her young daughter.

Not reasons to call 101 or 999:

Someone looked at me funny.

Suspicious looking sheep.

I think I'm okay, right?

UncertainSmile · 28/03/2015 22:53

Sweet sweet gas and air.

Isn't it, though. Best pain relief I've ever had, apart from Morphine.

FanFuckingTastic · 28/03/2015 22:57

When they took it away I was most unhappy, especially because hospital did not give me anything. Bah!

LuisSuarezTeeth · 28/03/2015 22:58

Crikey Fan! What a lot to deal with ??

FanFuckingTastic · 28/03/2015 22:59

Also, my history of neighbours includes lots of 999 because I live somewhere where there is a high percentage of disabled tenants, many with terminal conditions, there is no voodoo curse or Indian burial ground.

FanFuckingTastic · 28/03/2015 23:01

I didn't include the time my daughter, aged four, managed to escape my formidable home security in the middle of the night and went wandering, and just knocked on doors when she got bored so someone could show her how to get home. That child has given me far too many frights in her short six years.

Neighbours called 999 that time.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 28/03/2015 23:17

You've had more than your fair share of trauma then Fan. Thanks

OP posts:
FanFuckingTastic · 28/03/2015 23:23

Maybe, I couldn't live with the guilt of not doing anything to support other people if I could, I've been on the other end with my disability, and so if I am the one able to help most, or see someone who needs help not getting any, then I can't leave it to someone else who may or may not help.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 28/03/2015 23:24

I think I'm a bit the same to be honest - I could never ignore someone in need.

I didn't know we could use gifs!

FanFuckingTastic · 28/03/2015 23:29

When I had a fall last Spring and wasn't sure if my ankle was twisted or broken, I had people stop in cars to come to my aid, and bring jackets to warm me up because my hip was in agony with the position I'd fallen in and I couldn't get up or move into a different position, but I've also fallen before and been ignored, and fainted and been ignored, so it's made me vigilant for people in difficulty, because there's nothing worse than being in pain and left lying there.

FanFuckingTastic · 28/03/2015 23:30

Soooorry. Blush

I'll do a Homer now...
