Screaming and shouting in the street, riding fucking scooters past my bedroom window, not even outside their own house!!!!

Would it kill people to amuse their children until 9am
I don't have my dcs this weekend, and even if I did they wouldn't be out in the street at 8am

AIBU to want a lie in until 9am, I get up for work every bloody day!!

Or am I turning into grumpy old woman?

8 is quite early. 9 would be more polite. but maybe the kids don't have a big living room to play in and they have lots of energy.

If you don't have dcs with you all the time, (or you don't have dcs at all), you've got more opportunity to flex when you sleep. If it's noisy between 8 and 9, or if someone wakes you coming back from the pub at midnight, hey you could have a nap in the afternoon if you fancy it... or later that morning... sighs in blissful memory and props eyes open after night with toddler.

This is a bit "mummies and daddies take priority" and entitled though, I wouldn't have said it before i had children :-)
