To send glitterbombs to my two ex-friends?

Some of you may remember I posted a thread a few weeks ago about a friend (now ex-friend) who kept harassing me with pics of their child. After much careful consideration I have now sent that person a glitterbomb in the post for a bargain price of £6. While I was at it i decided to send another one to another ex-friend as I managed to remember their address.

Unreasonable or hard-free funny revenge? Has anyone actually done this before?

My sister likes to send glitter in cards, I think to make them even more special. It is only mildly irritating.
Surely there are better ways to exact revenge, but surely sending you photos of a child isn't deserving of revenge in the first place?? Odd.

IreneA78 · 13/03/2015 07:16

just checked. definitely seems to be an offence under the Malicious Communications Act.I hope she reports it to the police

HedgehogsDontBite · 13/03/2015 07:18

Do adults really do stuff like this? Confused

thenextday · 13/03/2015 07:21

Are you 12?

flanjabelle · 13/03/2015 07:22

Irene are you kidding me? How can sending someone glitter be an offence? A few of my relatives can get in big trouble at Christmas then!

Whatamuckingfuddle · 13/03/2015 07:23

I don't get it, maybe because most of my downstairs is tiled. I can't imagine being terribly upset, which I suppose makes its a waste of money for sender

IreneA78 · 13/03/2015 07:25

are they sending it with the purpose of causing distress?

Icimoi · 13/03/2015 07:27

The Malicious Communication Act makes it an offence to send or deliver letters or other articles for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety. Lawyers could probably have a lot of fun debating whether it is an offence to send something for the purpose of causing irritation and inconvenience, and frankly I can't see the CPS bothering to prosecute.

thenextday · 13/03/2015 07:33

Someone once sent me a dead fish and a dying rose via a company.
I reported it to the police who gave person a caution.

that doesn't make it a y less illegal

HeyDuggee · 13/03/2015 07:42

What I can't believe is hat someone paid 80k to buy that crap website. And that default note is plain stupid.

FayKorgasm · 13/03/2015 07:43

Ah come on Irene sending a cunt a bit of glitter is hardly on par with sticking a dead cat in the post.

HellKitty · 13/03/2015 07:50

Didn't see the first thread why do you hate her so much? (On the app so can't go snooping)

And I'd open post at the kitchen table so I can't see how the glitter would get everywhere unless it exploded.

PatterofaMinion · 13/03/2015 07:51

Gosh what a stupid attitude.

I'm also wondering how it's possible to harass someone with images of your child.

Do explain.

hackmum · 13/03/2015 07:57

It seems unpleasant and childish. Did you also send the note explaining why you were sending it, as per the website?

IreneA78 · 13/03/2015 07:58

what did your enclosed note say OP?

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 13/03/2015 08:01

There seems to have been a spate of cornflakes being pissed on this morning.

I think it's funny Grin

Glastokitty · 13/03/2015 08:01

Irene, seriously? I can just imagine the laughter in the cop shop!

WeirdCatLady · 13/03/2015 08:05

I love glitter so getting an envelope full would make me smile. hopefully, your ex-friends will be the same, you sound like a horrible person.

IStopped · 13/03/2015 08:09

Did you actially do this or are you thinking of doing it.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 13/03/2015 08:14

OP I have posted a link to your other thread as most posters haven't seen it.

Here

I have to say though, after your update on that thread it sounds as if it's all over and I don't see the need to 'get back' at the woman.

'Update - after confronting the person about this we are no longer friends. Apparently I am being unreasonable in saying that I found this a problem, and to be honest it's a relief. Now my phone is nice and quiet!!'

I would just leave it now.

ladymariner · 13/03/2015 08:15

WierdCatLady I came on to say exactly the same thing.....I absolutely love glitter so bring it on!!!! Life is too short not to have sparkles in it Smile

HellKitty · 13/03/2015 08:19

Minisok - holy fuck! Part of me is thinking that the glitter could get stuck behind my contact lenses and the other part is thinking WANT ONE - FOR ME!!!!
