To think woman upstairs signed my name for neighbours parcel

namechangelady · 12/03/2015 20:35

I dont know if the delivery driver is the culprit or the woman upstairs. Give me ur opinion please.

I signed for two parcels at 13A and 9A across the road
i live at 16B
The delivery driver spelt my name wrong as SELEAH but i noticed it when signing but i just signed it cause of course im going to give the parcels to the owners.

I gave the parcels to the owners.
I then get someone knocking on my door.
Woman upstairs leaves me a note spelling my name SELINA this is how she spells it
said guy across the road rang for his parcel

i thought it was 13A so i leave him a snotty note that i already gave him the parcel and not to bother me again.

Then i check my letterbox i have a note from 11A saying i sign for their parcel, on the note he said hi SELINA

Do you think the woman upstairs signed my name and stole the parcel?
How did guy across the road know to spell my name selina if the driver spelt it seleah before?
i dont get along with upstairs and she likes to turn others against people (i jus know this to long and unnessary to say why)

OR

do you think the delivery driver signed my name then stole the parcel or left it somewhere?

i rang 11A and told him i dont have the parcel and explained the above
I complained to the delivery compamy too that the driver must of stole and signed my name now because of the spelling of my name im thinking maybe it was upstairs?

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
whats the likelyhood?

if it is the woman upstairs i will go to the police as she has been harrassing me.
my name is spelt selena as well

ghosty Grin

Sparklingbrook · 12/03/2015 21:50

I have read the Op 3 times and I still can't picture it.

ghostyslovesheep · 12/03/2015 21:50

she went a bit mad didn't she Glasgow I have no idea if she was a troll but she posted some very odd stuff then disappeared into the interweb

but several people have had similar posting styles

I don't think the OP is a troll just that her posts do sound like the one Sooty mentioned and I think people where asking just for clarity rather than accusing - I don't think the OP needed to be so cross

Momagain1 · 12/03/2015 21:52

None of the name mis-spelled names here there and everywhere matter, OP.

11a needs to contact the delivery company, who evidently left info that his package is somewhere at 16, but between bad handwriting and laziness, it could be anywhere on the street. At this point, simply keep saying you only signed for 9 & 13, you don't know about any other packages. Don't start in on all the confusion over name spellings and whether or not upstairs is a troublemaker, because makes you sound like you are trying to cover your tracks. If 11 is missing a package, that's between him and the delivery company. Stay well out.

And stop taking packages.

I live on the ground floor, and am home all day. I sign for nothing.

Camolips · 12/03/2015 21:53

Cam to the rescue!
Right. 11A never had a parcel, delivery man put note through his door by mistake but it was really 9A's. Realised his mistake and put another through 9A's. 11A comes looking for Seleah, sees upstairs woman who says, oh Selina's out, leave her a note. 11A leaves you a note addressed to Selina because that's the common spelling. But there never was a parcel for 11A, it was 9A's all along.
On another note, not sure why you would get snotty with 13A, just say 'I've already brought your parcel round'.

glasgowlass · 12/03/2015 21:57

Yes ghosty she certainly had a lot of drama that escalated at superspeed!
Agree that OP here needs to reign herself in a notch. You can't ask for advice then shoot the people kind enough to offer some advice down.

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 12/03/2015 22:00

Evening all

Momagain1 · 12/03/2015 22:01

It is rather pointless that so many people, rather than responding, clutter up threads asking if the poster has posted before. Why do people do that?

if You think reposting is a problem, report it, hide it from yours and move on. If MNHQ dems it problematic, they will delete. Otherwise, how could it possibly matter so much that you need to derail the responses and put posters into a defensive mode?

Sparklingbrook · 12/03/2015 22:01

Thanks Camolips. I have had too much Southern Comfort for my brain to sort that lot out. I might try again in the a.m.

ilovesooty · 12/03/2015 22:01

Evening Olivia. Smile

angelface34 · 12/03/2015 22:02

I have asked things on here and someone says "haven't we heard this before" it's very irritating when you are looking for help and somebody replies this. Its just unnecessary.
There was a thread on here of a woman looking to leave an abusive man and the troll brigade came out and the thread got deleted.
Theres no obligation to answer threads, if you think it's a troll thread DONT ANSWER IT, it's not hard.

Maybe the Op is foreign thats why some "claim" to not understand her even though its quiet clear to anyone with a brain what she is trying to say, its just another way to discredit someone.
Op also say "forget it" now has clearly left, she didn't disappear.

I don't get why some of you feel the need to hide behind your keyboards trying to discredit others, it happens on nearly every thread in this section. You don't get paid to troll so get a life and stop being an internet gangster, its not cute....

DeeWe · 12/03/2015 22:09

Most likely a simple mistake. They don't usually write names on the cards they write the address ime.

I once took in a parcel and when I went to hand it over the poor chap nearly cried with thankfulness. You see we're on the corner, and the delivery man had counted 2 houses down, add four-number 56. However we're actually number 2 of the street off. He'd been to number 56, and they'd denied it, and both the other neighbours, so he'd phoned the place he'd ordered it from and they were shut... He was in a right dither.

PeachyParisian · 12/03/2015 22:27

Oh did blackout1234 turn out to be a troll? knew it

Your post is very confusing.
Just tell neighbours you gave them the parcels.
If you get more grief ignore.
Think its unfair to state that royal mail have stolen the parcels! It could well have been your neighbours!
Op, don't start a thread and then be nasty to posters who reply. Nobody has been nasty to you. If you are, nobody will try to help you.

Yes sooty iv seen many threads like this, including on facebook'

ghostyslovesheep · 12/03/2015 22:37

To be very clear Olivia I am not in anyway shape or form saying Blackout234 was a troll - I wouldn't do that your honour

Just that the OP reminded me of her - especially the card drama

IStopped · 12/03/2015 22:50

OP, I can't tell what happened but I agree with the suggestion that you should not take anyone's parcels in in future.

I don't think people mentioned the other thread because they were thinking the OP was a troll, I think it was because it sounded very similar.

ilovesooty · 12/03/2015 22:52

Thank you IStopped - precisely. And it was the OP who started throwing the word troll around.

ClashCityRocker · 12/03/2015 22:56

This thread has given me a headache.

So, you didn't sign for a parcel for 11a, but the driver says you did?

kali110 · 12/03/2015 23:02

Sooty, it reminded me of a saga that was going on on facebook on a buying/selling page!

RandomNPC · 12/03/2015 23:58

I wondered where Blackout234 had gone; she posted a lot and then disappeared.

HappenstanceMarmite · 13/03/2015 00:11

Colonel Mustard, in the library with a candlestick. There.

Isetan · 13/03/2015 06:02

I love Olivia's polite but menacing "Evening" Grin. It's like when the head does her 'just passing' appearance when you've got a supply teacher. Everyone knows she isn't just passing, she's sending out a clear 'mess with the supply teacher and you'll have me to deal with' message.
