to ask if you have young children, what would you expect your OH to do on mothers day?

Don't know if I should feel a little hurt by this or not? I have 2 very young children, and earlier OH mentioned he'd like me to drop him round to his mum's early on Sunday so he can make a meal for his mum. Whilst I think it's lovely he wants to do this, the selfish part of me I'd saying well actually it's meant to be my day to put my feet up and relax, especially as the children are at such a busy age. Am I being unreasonable to feel a little hurt by this?

Ah right, didn't realise it was a church thing.
I have to say, and I know I'm on my own here, I find it weird when grown adults do things for their mum on mother's day. I've always seen it as being something little kids to to give their mum a break and show some appreciation, because they're kids and need reminding to do so.

The tradition involves adult women travelling to see their mothers.

I like the old traditional Mothering Sunday. Not this ghastly card and gift fest and too many high expectations.

OP - tell your oh how you feel.

Nothing. Maybe help ds write a card. I'm just glad to have him at the moment as we nearly split recently :(
