Aftermath of teen party

DS had drinks for friends last night. We got plenty of drink, snacks as requested and retired upstairs to listen to horrid music coming from the kitchen

I got up this morning preparing for the worst to find empties in the recycling, the dishwasher put on and everything put away.

I did have to pick up a piece of popcorn that hadn't been swept up.

AIBU to think teenagers don't know how to behave these days?

Grin Just as well you found that Pom, you know "Maths is fun" is an entry level website to uni applications depravity! Forewarned is forearmed.

Can't beleive ther are no pools of vom under the sofa cushions.... Kids these days, eh?

LaLaLaaaa · 08/03/2015 04:25

It's a hidden...the bottles are behind the sink, there will be vomit in a shoe somewhere and someone will have nicked your vodka and reached it with water.

No?

God teenagers don't know how to party these days! Grin

Op, do tell how you managed to raise a teen with this behavior? Chores from an early age? What is the secret? Smile

GrassyBottom · 08/03/2015 09:07

Well, not quite a party but about 8 or 9 of them were here last night with DS2 (17). They all left at 12.
The only sign this morning was that they had put all the glasses in the dishwasher and I found one empty crisp packet.

sorry to disappoint but my forensic and I were those teenagers 20 years ago. no other parents would allow parties so everyone was super careful not to upset my folks as they were the only ones who let's us have them. occasionally they would stay home and decamp to their bedroom with a film and other times they would go out or away. house was always cleaner when they came back

This thread makes me proud never to have been such a disappointment to my parents Grin

Wow, things have changed! My mom came home from a night away when I was 17 to find 2 of my friends in her bed and one legging it out the front door. I'd decamped to my bf 's house with the rest of the party and she finally caught up with me sleeping on his floor with 10 boys at about noon. (fully clothed, get your minds out of the gutter)
She proceeded to call every single parent of my friends and tell them what had happened. I was not popular.

A friend used to do this,by herself, clean up mess from gatherings in people's houses! We all just let her Blush perhaps one of your DS's friends is like this. Or a house elf?
