Bloody git

He done a poo on both bathroom mats

His done a big one in the main bathroom, on the mat and small one in the ensuite

Why the heck has he done this

If he's not allowed upstairs usually I would say it's a territory thing. Something to fill up with his smell while he has the chance.

Could you maybe let him patrol the house supervised each morning so he can update his scent in every room (paw stretch on things and rubbing cheek on corners).

Or get some of these for the doorways to keep him away?

Puddingsandpiglets · 05/03/2015 20:51

If my cat is outside and it wants to puke, it will come in, puke, then go back out again. If it is inside and it wants to puke, it will make sure it's on the carpet. Never the wood floor. Never the kitchen floor. Ususally it will be on the carpet a few inches from the kitchen, just to make the point. Cats are all arseholes.

NorksAreMessy · 05/03/2015 20:58

The cat shat on the mat?

GallicIsCharlie · 05/03/2015 21:02

My old cat would poo right in the centre of my bed if I stayed out for the night. He definitely knew what he was doing! Hope my current moggy doesn't read this & get ideas Wink When I tried shutting the bedroom door before going out, he pooed on the sofa. I couldn't throw the sofa in the washing machine like a duvet, so I let him do his thing on the bed.

I think it is to do with territory - they pick the areas they see as 'yours' and kind of go "Well, fuck you, Cat Servant, I will show you whose house this is!"

I quite like the idea of letting the cat wander around upstairs for a while every day. If he feels excluded from there, he might have got the hump about it and therefore made his point. Worth a try, anyway - good luck!

One of my cats will occasionally go in the bath. At one point it was because we'd moved house and he disapproved of the litter tray. For the first half of this week it was because he didn't agree with the new brand of cat litter I had purchased. He has also gone in the bath straight after spending several hours prowling around outside. I think my cat is an arsehole sometimes!!

fizzycolagurlie · 05/03/2015 21:10

I don't care about your grammar.

I do think the cat is protesting - maybe from being not allowed upstairs?

My cat pooped outside my bedroom door when we got a new kitten who spent the night in our room. That was quite clearly a dirty protest.

carlywurly · 05/03/2015 21:14

Dps cat does this now and again. It's bloody rank. Like a dirty cat protest.

He once pissed on my trainer while I was in the shower and couldn't stop him.

The worst ever was when he attempted to wee on dp's head while he was having an afternoon nap. He nearly met his maker on that occasion.

GallicIsCharlie · 05/03/2015 21:14

Whatever you do, Probably, don't let your cat find out he's chosen the easiest defecation zone to clean!

If my cat pooed in the bath, I probably wouldn't bother with a litter tray.

Stinkersmum · 05/03/2015 21:14

When cats do things like that it's either one of two things. An insecurity issue to mark their territory, or there's possibly something physically wrong with them. Toiletting issues are a cats way of telling you there's something wrong.

Perhaps he has been reading this thread:

Maybe he decided he needed a story to add, or he has just been taking pointers!

My cat (I say cat, it's really more of a raccoon from Satan) likes to piss in my sink. She'll squat and look me dead in the eye as I shout and rant and berate her.

I took her to the vets and got her checked. Several times. She's not ill. She's possessed by demons. I daresay all cats are.

rallytog1 · 05/03/2015 21:37

Wowsers. I make a joke (which I'm happy to admit was not thought through and apologise to anyone I've upset), but then I get called a bully, a wanker and get reported! Disproportionate, much?

On a serious note op, I have three cats and they just all seem to go through phases like this. That's just life with a cat. You can do things to reduce their stress but they still like to be horrible from time to time.

You're not helping anyone rabbit. I've admitted my mistake and apologised. How this makes me an ignorant person is beyond me.

Honeydragon · 05/03/2015 21:49

I though this was going to be an amusing bastard cat thread.

Can I have the memo pertains to when this ridiculous and juvenile calling out of posters grammar is going to end?

I'm with MNHQ on this one it's about time it fucking stopped.

You meanies.

Whiteandbrownrabbit · 05/03/2015 21:50

Perhaps you should look up the meaning in the dictionary then?
