My mil blocked my drive on my wedding day whilst wearing a white flowing dress with a car full of uninvited family members?
Does this cover it? Parking, weddings and mil? All my favourites in one great thread!
Need to know what happens next!

Bakeoffcake · 28/02/2015 12:10

I bet t your SIL is to blame tbh. She sounds a right cow.

wowfudge · 28/02/2015 12:14

I guarantee that one of your dcs will have had their first haircut courtesy of MIL, complete with wonky fringe, when you do get to wedding venue. Without your permission.

Clockingoff · 28/02/2015 12:18

Did she put a poem through your letter box demanding cash so she could go to the Carribean?

Maybe she has special needs.

wowfudge · 28/02/2015 12:23

I hope you have made all your bridesmaids pay for their own outfits and that the hen do was ten days away in Oz, which they had to fork out for too, including group bungee jumping at AUS$200 each and a private guided moonlit Sydney Harbour Bridge walk at premium prices. None of them had enough annual leave and had to negotiate unpaid leave on pain of death.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 28/02/2015 12:26

Watch your MIL doesn't kidnap your DCs and have them immunised against their will, followed by a trip to claire's accessories for ear-piercing of your one-year-old.

florentina1 · 28/02/2015 12:26

My MiL threw away my wedding cake and replaced it with her own disgusting, soggy Lemon Drizzle Cake.

EstRusMum · 28/02/2015 12:27

Complain to NHS.

Clockingoff · 28/02/2015 12:27

And I presume the wedding is in a castle in the middle of nowhere, and you have thrown a stop because your best friend, who is expecting twins the next day, has decided it might be unsafe to be stranded 80 miles from the nearest hospital.
Does she not realise it's your special day?

florentina1 · 28/02/2015 12:31

Why did I not get the correct Doilly invitation. Was this reserved for special
Friends. Am I not a special friend after pruning your lady garden for yo.

wowfudge · 28/02/2015 12:31

Now come on Clockingoff, the best friend has surely been dropped in disgust because she will ruin the photos and detract from the bride due to her heavily pregnant state. How dare she conceive until after the OP has returned from the guest funded honeymoon having POAS and arranged a gender announcement shower for herself.

Morelikeguidelines · 28/02/2015 12:32

Yabu. They probably all have hidden ddisabilities
And what will you do with your goat while at the wedding.

Sister77 · 28/02/2015 12:40

And she's reading my copy of the daily mail! While riding my horse being chased by her aggressive dog!

Late to the party but HAHAHAHAHAHAH AT MOTHER IN LAW In a sling.

Clockingoff · 28/02/2015 12:49

Well I just hope the section of the guest list who have been invited to the ceremony, and to the disco ten hours later, don't get all mardy about having to kill time in a place with no restaurants or coffee shops. Surely they can bring a few packets of crisps with them, to keep them going?

Clockingoff · 28/02/2015 12:55

YABU to have no spelling or grammatical errors in your op. How are the grammar nazis supposed to feel good about themselves, if you don't help them a little? Selfish and mean spirited of you, and possibly passive aggressive as well.

Sister77 · 28/02/2015 13:02

Rear facing car seat for DC who's 10 Grin

FunkyPeacock · 28/02/2015 13:44

YABU and sound grabby, entitled and narcissistic

Your MIL is perfectly entitled to wear an ivory lace gown with a 5 foot trail to your wedding if she likes

And if you didn't send 'save the dates' to everyone on your street a year in advance you have no right to expect your drive to be unblocked

MrsDumbledore · 28/02/2015 14:04

Well how many times has mil showered and washed her towels whilst blocking your drive?
are you a sahm or wohm?
Did you offer her real coffee or instant?

I feel like you are drip feeding. ..

Puzzledandpissedoff · 28/02/2015 14:10

What I want to know i whether the MIL was smoking Shock

And couldn't she have cycled to the venue (in a thoroughly irresponsible manner, of course) ...

Sister77 · 28/02/2015 15:21

Look she was in the sling but sil was carrying her in the horse. Sil was smoking and reading the dmail whilst updating fbook!
Which bit do you not understand??? Why am drip feeding dumble?
Il fight you on the car park!
